Here are Lorenzen's 3 starts on the year, all in AAA.  Could be a good opportunity to jump into the bullpen early and soften it up for the later games of the series.

Also, looks rainy for Wednesday.  Doubleheader on Thursday?  Guess who lines up well for a start as the 27th player?  Can't make it up, it'd be Manning.

No Meadows against a righty:

That is kind of interesting.  Texas is probably throwing lefty Andrew Heaney on Thursday, so presumably he could have that day off.  Or maybe that will be a day off for either Greene or Carpenter.  They are in the middle of 14 games in 13 days, so it wouldn't be surprising to see position players get a day off during this stretch.

Ideally it should be Meadows but we know how hes doing

That’s true but I’ve notice that some other people gripe without thinking it through. Yes, Greene should not be leading off but to complain about it when there’s not a viable solution seems pointless.

Who would replace him?

Canha, Gio, Veirling...Greene's splits batting leadoff comapred to anywhere else in the lineup are bad at leadoff...AJ hammering Riley into the leadoff spot is literally the opposite of good analytics.

Vierling isn’t an every day guy so I’d think he’s out. Canha isn’t hitting any better than Greene. Gio is probably the most likely, IMO, of your suggested replacements based on current stats, though his plate discipline hasn’t been the same as it was at the beginning of the year. Still, good answer.

2 straight walks..Vierling swings at the next pitch and GIDP. I give Canha some deference because he has a track record...Vierling needs the pitcher to help him.
