MichiganCardinal Posted March 12 Posted March 12 The Texans signed Laken Tomlinson to a one-year deal. I was floored to learn he was still in the league. Quote
Jason_R Posted March 15 Posted March 15 I want it to happen so he can throw a game-losing interception to Kerby Joseph again. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Cowboys just traded a comp 5th to NE for Milton and a 7th. Only reason I bring this up is cause I remember late last season when Milton played pretty well some football guys I follow speculated that the Pats could parlay that play into an early day 2 pick. I thought that notion was ridiculous then and indeed was a rare time I was right. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted April 3 Author Posted April 3 I think that trade for Milton, may be an absolutely brilliant move for the Cowboys. While Dak doesn't suck, I just don't feel like he's a winner. I think Milton has a chance to be special - in the right place. Quote

I live in Knoxville and watched him miss open receiver after open receiver after open receiver. If you need a Hail Mary from 75 yards out...he's your guy. Maybe he gets a QB whisperer that unlocks all of the talent he obviously has but until then he is a harder working Jamarcus Russell. Quote

Hey Gozer, I am also a local and I am of the same opinion regarding Milton. He has good college stats, especially at UT, but when I compare him against Hooker's UT time, the difference is significant. Different teams and all that, but it helps me validate my "eh" feeling about Milton. Edit to add: Also given his size and apparent strength, he's not a dual threat. So even more "eh" when classifying him as a pocket QB. Edited April 8 by KnoxP Quote
Gozer Posted April 8 Posted April 8 There is a reason that Hooker beat him out. He was just better. Maybe Milton will be a better pro but he is super raw(even at 25 years old). Talent has never been an issue but he couldn't win the job at Michigan or Tennessee. Only reason he started at UT was because Nico was a true freshman. By all accounts, he is a good guy but if he puts it together...he is Cam Newton size with Stafford arm strength. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted April 17 Posted April 17 I like Aaron Glenn even more now. Lmao at Aaron Rodgers, old players say the hardest realization they have to make is when to hang them up. Quote
Dan Gilmore Posted April 17 Posted April 17 Yeah, money isn’t a factor for me either. Just pay me $10 million dollars. 😛 1 1 Quote

Even dismissing that this is Aaron Rodgers who's more than a bit of a diva, I'm never too keen on forming an opinion of a contentious event based on one side of the story. It's human nature even if the best of us to think that we were in the right and that we said the right words and acted the right way. We've only got Aaron's side of things. We don't know if it's accurate or what the mood was or the mannerisms involved. I will say this: I think we all pretty much assume that Saleh was fired at the instance of Rodgers, and if that's the case I think Glenn went into this wanting certain "concessions" from Rodgers. Essentially he wanted Rodgers to defer to him, and that's 100% reasonable. I'm guessing that Rodgers didn't defer to Glenn in the way he wanted and Glenn wasn't willing to risk getting undermined from a old diva QB. I'm also guessing it more body language/mannerism/attitude vs. what was actually said. Quote
buddha Posted Monday at 07:39 PM Posted Monday at 07:39 PM aaron rogers isnt that good anymore. when youre one of the best in the league, you can get away with anything, but when youre not you dont. and if youre a distraction? no one wants you. a-a-ron has yet to adjust to his new reality. shedeur sanders just got an early lesson. and colin kapernick, well... Motown Bombers Posted Monday at 09:22 PM Posted Monday at 09:22 PM Glad the Lions have Bates so we don't have to go through the Lions should sign Tucker but they won't because he's not a culture fit. Quote
