I don’t know why you seem to be so knocked out by the idea that Donald Trump might actually have a clue about what his mission is and how he might accomplish that. Do you think he’s some sort of randomly-behaving id baby incapable of forming a coherent thought or of understanding the effect his actions have? You keep saying he knows EXACTLY what he's doing as if he has every move planned out. I don't see it that way. I guess we just disagree on that point. Quote

He’s not a details guy. But he has a mission to accomplish, which is to explicitly destroy democracy at the behest of his various creditors. So when he does something big picture and damaging, such as when he spouts Kremlin talking points, and people here say he’s stupid for doing it, that’s when I say, he’s not stupid because he’s knows exactly what’s he doing. It’s not on accident to the detriment of America. It’s on purpose to the detriment of America. Quote

It reminded me of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (the miniseries, not the movie) where Sam Collins says he never thought much of Bill Hayden but on the night of Jim Prideaux's capture, Bill was a treat to watch. gehringer_2 Posted Friday at 03:47 AM Posted Friday at 03:47 AM (edited) It figures in an odd sort of way. Bibi wasn't going to get a go ahead from Biden, but he probably thought he could wait and he might one from Trump, but when Trump turned out not to be so gung-ho as he hoped, he decided he was going without US co-operation. Mr.TaterSalad Posted Friday at 04:02 AM Posted Friday at 04:02 AM I thought Trump was supposed to be a peace time President? He told us how easy peace deals and negotiations would be. He told us there would be no wars under his Presidency. What happened sir? Quote

On immigration in particular, seems pretty clear that Stephen Miller is the one calling the shots Quote
romad1 Posted Friday at 11:50 AM Posted Friday at 11:50 AM Newsom's presser last night was thrilling. It was as if someone with a few political skills who was not 99 years old was finally in the fight and in front of a camera with his dander up. 1 Quote
