IdahoBert Posted October 16 Posted October 16 Rodriguez hits a two run homer in the bottom of the first for the Mariners in game three then Polanco gets a double. Quote
IdahoBert Posted October 16 Posted October 16 The Mariners know how to make contact. It is what it is. Quote
romad1 Posted October 16 Posted October 16 The Mariners are my team going forward this offseason. As much as I like my Canadian neighbors. I am now of the opinion that Detroit wasn't all that bad and they ran into Cleveland NW in the ALDS> Quote
IdahoBert Posted October 16 Posted October 16 As much as I want to, I still can’t make myself care about this game or watch it much longer. I wish them well. The Mariners that is. 1 Quote
monkeytargets39 Posted October 16 Posted October 16 Based on how Toronto has played….its looking like we were a Javy broken bat from the World Series….. 1 Quote
Dan Gilmore Posted October 16 Posted October 16 And the they show me how wrong my take was. Now tied 2-2 with the bases loaded by Toronto. Quote
IdahoBert Posted October 16 Posted October 16 And suddenly the Blue Jays scored five runs in the top of the third. I certainly am glad this isn’t my problem. 1 Quote
papalawrence Posted October 16 Posted October 16 (edited) 7-2. Harris is drooling over Toronto's bat to ball skills. Oops, 8-2. Harris is now foaming at the mouth Edited October 16 by papalawrence Quote
lordstanley Posted October 16 Posted October 16 12-2 Jays. Quite a letdown for the crazed Mariners fans. 1 Quote
Sports_Freak Posted October 16 Posted October 16 Road teams....wow. All 5 of the league championship games go to the road teams... Quote

Sports_Freak Posted October 16 Posted October 16 This superstition tradition started 3 years ago? I never heard of it. Those fans look like idiots... https://www.mlb.com/news/mariners-fan-rally-shoe-wild-card-win Quote
IdahoBert Posted October 16 Posted October 16 Now 13-4 Jays in the top of the ninth. That’s pretty much an emphatic comeback. Feel kind of bad for the Seattle fans who had to endure this. They had such high hopes and this series is not over yet by any means but man, this is a real butt kicking. Quote
IdahoBert Posted October 16 Posted October 16 Once again, I am so glad that this is not my problem. I have a habit of looking for problems, but this ain’t one of them. Quote

Yep, since we can't enjoy the thrill of victory for our Tigers, don't let other teams or their fans trauma dump their agony of defeat onto us. We're emotion-free from here on in. If we get laid off from a job, we lose the paycheck so by the same token we lose the worry of how the company and its employees are faring in life after us. Quote
papalawrence Posted October 16 Posted October 16 Just read that the Dodgers have made the post season 13 years in a row. And I could see that reaching 20+ Quote

Edman85 Posted October 16 Posted October 16 15 hours ago, Tigermojo said: Akil Baddoo is a free agent. Tomas Nido too. Guys over three years of service or who have been previously outrighted can declare free agency when they are outrighted or do so immediately after the season (by October 15 or within four days after postseason run ends). Nido and Baddoo had very healthy minor league salaries, so it makes sense they would stick around and not forfiet that, and now get a 3 week head start on free agency. Quote
guy incognito Posted October 17 Posted October 17 Dodgers grab a 2-1 lead in the 6th. It’s starting to look fairly inevitable. Quote
IdahoBert Posted October 17 Posted October 17 Dodgers now lead Milwaukee three games to zero. Scherzer is pitching for the Jays and Naylor just hit a home run for the Mariners who now lead 1-0 in the second while the series stands at 2-1 M’s. Quote
