My hope for any series in which I have no skin in the game is that it goes seven games and the tying run comes to the plate in the ninth inning of Game 7. In this case, I feel a little skin in the game as I am actively rooting for the Blue Jays—or, more exactly, against the Dodgers. 2 Quote

I think that's his name. It was he who said it. When he said it, I thought there was a bit of anxiousness or sheepishness in the delivery, almost like he shouldn't say it. I liked the intent. If he is from Michigan, if he did do it to pay homage, I can see where the opportunity presented itself, he went for it, but maybe a bit of nerve hit him. Well, and it just dawned on me that Smoltz probably grew up listening to Ernie as well, and he was in the booth, too. 1 Quote
