The Mariners are my team going forward this offseason.   As much as I like my Canadian neighbors.   I am now of the opinion that Detroit wasn't all that bad and they ran into Cleveland NW in the ALDS>

7-2. Harris is drooling over Toronto's bat to ball skills.

Oops, 8-2. Harris is now foaming at the mouth

As well he should. I just saw Toronto score a run with a dribbler to 1st base. Putting the ball in play has advantages.

Now 13-4 Jays in the top of the ninth. That’s pretty much an emphatic comeback. Feel kind of bad for the Seattle fans who had to endure this. They had such high hopes and this series is not over yet by any means but man, this is a real butt kicking.

Once again, I am so glad that this is not my problem. I have a habit of looking for problems, but this ain’t one of them.

Yep, since we can't enjoy the thrill of victory for our Tigers, don't let other teams or their fans trauma dump their agony of defeat onto us. We're emotion-free from here on in. If we get laid off from a job, we lose the paycheck so by the same token we lose the worry of how the company and its employees are faring in life after us.

Just read that the Dodgers have made the post season 13 years in a row. And I could see that reaching 20+

wow.  I just looked it up.  NYY made it 17 of 18 between 1995-2012, missing out in 2008

Akil Baddoo is a free agent.

Tomas Nido too.

Guys over three years of service or who have been previously outrighted can declare free agency when they are outrighted or do so immediately after the season (by October 15 or within four days after postseason run ends). Nido and Baddoo had very healthy minor league salaries, so it makes sense they would stick around and not forfiet that, and now get a 3 week head start on free agency.

Dodgers now lead Milwaukee three games to zero. Scherzer is pitching for the Jays and Naylor just hit a home run for the Mariners who now lead 1-0 in the second while the series stands at 2-1 M’s.
