No matter what anyone posts about her it gets met with hate. So weird.... You don't like her thats fine but why chime in everytime?

Wanna talk about weird? Insulting and celebrating the demise of all hard working federal employees on the other board. That's weird, and i stand by my response, and regret that I peaked behind the ignore shield here.

Agree, it’s a bad look. Ed.  Did she turn down a date with you?

3-0, 30 IP, 23 H, 1 BB, 38 K, 3 ER.

I know there’s all sorts of curiousness about his future, but I’m just kind’ve enjoying the right now.

I do not remember that, no. Did anyone here want him? I thought everybody here pretty much agreed, no dice. Maybe they’re talking about Tigers fans on Reddit or TotallyTigers.

I think the takeaway is that Javy is outperforming him (so far).

I understand that, but when someone tells a lie, i tend to focus on that.

Hes on Twitter. He's talking about Twitter fans.

When I go someplace where ordinary people are talking about the Tigers the experience is depressingly facile. We are the citadel of the saved compared to places like that. 21 years of rubbing shoulders with people who actually know stuff makes Hooterville hard to endure.

It seems like most people here didn't want them to sign any hitters...and so far that's turning out fine.  I can't really give them cedit for knowing that Torkelson and McKinsty would hit like allstars and that Baez would bounce back though!

I did notice on other sites that a lot of fans wanted Santander.

It’s a lie that Tigers fans were clamoring for Anthony Santander. It didn’t happen like that. Sorry for the confusion.

One person on twitter says something and it becomes a thing or perception.  Then someone uses that to make a point.  That guys profile says he’s been a tigers season ticket holder “since ‘22”.  Now if he’s proud that he worked hard and can afford that then I raise a toast say “salute”.  If it’s to convey some kind of intelligence…

my Facebook memories showed me that jn 2010 I posted “Scherzer Schucks”.

I’ve been a ticket holder since the mid 90s.

That’s not confusing to me.

I think there might have been some discussion about Santander as a fall back option to Bregman strictly for the hitting side.  I think there was also acknowledgment that it’d be tough to figure out playing time among OF/1B/DH after signing Torres which pushed Keith to 1B, not knowing what to expect out of Torkelson, wanting Carpenter to get more time vs LHP, Greene playing everyday in LF, using the DH slot as a partial rest day, etc.  But he was never an obvious target for the Tigers.

There was no serious discussion about what we’re seeing out of Torkelson, Baez, and McKinstry.  I guess there was some hope for Torkelson to become serviceable but I don’t think it was widespread.

approaching Sparky's 40-game checkpoint.

getting Vierling, Rogers, Meadows (Margot or Perez) back basically gives them a new player to add every month

if ever healthy, this is a deep and versatile line up

Dingler/Rogers, Tork/Keith, Torres, Sweeney/Baez, McKinstry/Ibanez, Greene, Meadows, Carpenter/Vierling

with Malloy, Jung, Perez, and maybe Nido and Margot at Toledo

I assume they are going to be in contention (or 1st) at the trading deadline, but unless he is trading for an elite player, it will be difficult for Harris to improve the position players enough to justify messing with the chemistry.

Maybe Ibanez could be replaced. Maybe add at CF or SS. But they have decent internal choices already.

On the pitching side, adding a RP who throws serious heat is the one thing they might need.

No more Mickey York...

That's a bummer... I figured with Keating retiring...

I hope the "new direction" involves people who know what they are doing but we'll see.

Agreed. Hopefully people with a bit of a passion and some knowledge come into play. IMHO, York, Keating and Kane all did a really good job. I appreciated them and even more now that they have 'not' been on the scene. Have not seen Trevor Thompson recently either on any Tiger pre or post game shows.

This is an interesting point. The tigers as of today (assuming Tork, McKinstry, Baez continue to play well, Meadows returns, and factoring in platoons) don’t have any major holes but no major offensive stars. Where could you realistically upgrade? Maybe SS, but you probably have a 2 war platoon. Maybe 3B, but where would McKinstry go. Seems like a hard roster to really upgrade given the way Hinch manages unless you really want to go after top end talent. Similar on the pitching side, especially if Cobb comes back.

Maybe the obvious answer is expect regression and/or more injuries, but it’s a pretty deep roster lacking really high end talent.

It's getting complicated for all these guys. Ilitch is hiring  hiring the Tiger people directly so that when/if FDSD disappears they have their own broadcast staff, but that complicated life for a guy like Kane who doesn't want to leave the pistons and give up the chance to take over Piston's PBP.
