Only 65 games left. No AL Central opponent is good enough to make up a double digit deficit in that span.

Weren't the Tigers below .500 at last year's trade deadline? Our schedule coming out of the All Star break looks...alarming?

True, 47-50 after 97 games and 52-57 on July 31. But the '24 Tigers even with their torrid finish still topped out at 86 wins and lost the division by 6.5 games. to get up to 87 wins the tigers only need to go 28-37. Before this ugly 4 game losing streak, the tigers had won 8 of 10.

Texas and Pittsburgh are both well over .500 at home. And we play a hot Toronto team in a 4 game series. And then 3 in Philly. Gulp...our bullpen better shape up.

Would it have meant a lot to him in 2022?

I wonder whether the Tigers are interested in him? Setting aside the discussion of whether he's a good fit for the clubhouse, he should at least be fairly cheap (meaning no Top 100s), since his contract expires this year.

The Yankees and Mariners have also shown interest. Could bump up his trade value some

Probably not, but that’s fine with me. Winning attracts. He admits as much: “Since I was there, it's been a lot different," Suárez said, comparing the Tigers of the 2010s to the 2025 Tigers. "It's a new team with a lot of young guys and a lot of talent. I think they have a really good chance to make it more than the playoffs this year. They got, for me, the best pitcher in the league right now: Tarik Skubal," Suárez said. "They got a bunch of good players. I think they really have a chance to win it all this year."

Super pumped when I pulled a 10/10 purple refractor of a series 2 standard pack at target. Even better it was a tiger.

It was Alex Cobb

Speaking of Alex Cobb, does he actually exist?

I don't worry about whether a new player is good in the clubhouse.  That is something that fans know nothing about, so I'll let Harris and Hinch worry about that.  Also, if the team is so fragile that one player coming for two months is going to change everything, then maybe the clubhouse isn't so great.  By the way, why doesn't anyone worry about new pitchers being a poor fit in the clubhouse?

I'm not pointing it out because I worry about it. I couldn't give less of a **** as long as we're winning. But I'm pretty sure Harris takes it into account when considering a player to sign or trade for.

I’m somewhat familiar with Americanish.  I do think you’ve used that written language here.  However, I have no idea what in the world you’re stating.

Fangraphs gives the Twins a 2% chance of winning the division.  Cleveland 1% and KC .5%  Combined those odds are 17.5 times more likely than what the Tigers did last year.
