I don’t know who the hell Gabe Lacques is—I suspect he’s a general sports reporter whose turn it is to be rotated to the baseball beat—but I can't argue with his conclusions.

Six hours before game time seems like an eternity. I’ve been up since 4 AM and already gone to my clinic for the blood draw for my yearly physical, walked 2 miles in the botanical garden in the foothills outside town, looked a magnificent coastal great horned owl in the eye,

and eaten two meals. I’m primed for a game and watching other teams on MLB TV is a poor substitute for the Tigers. I’m really Jonesing now that I can watch games again.

I'm looking up Denver's weather and looking at the radar it appears all the rain will be out by 9...unfortunately I think the time they are showing is Denver's time which means it won't be till 11 eastern.

If it just a mist or sprinkles, they'll play. I'm confident we'll get this game in. They can't delay it too long, there's 2 games scheduled tomorrow.

The AccuWeather app says it will stop raining in Denver at 7 PM. IDK if that's Eastern time or not.

They should have moved this one up but the Rockies probably didn't want to lose most of another gate.

The future radar shows one little front yet to come through but it's so wispy it might not drop anything at Coors - or it might.

Dollander's stats are pretty bad but I saw him pitch and it looked like he had a lot of movement on his pitches. Be patient, get to their horrible BP and blow them away.

Dollander was a top 10 overall pick in 2023 and was regarded as one of the top pitching prospects in all of baseball....much like Jobe which makes this pitching matchup pretty intriguing.

Wrigley Field is a great place to see a game though. We got there early when we went and checked out all the statues and other attractions. We had a blast. I'll be going back there, hopefully.

They figured out how to synchronize the radio broadcast with the TV broadcast and since I haven’t had MLB.TV until now it’s good to see that they finally nailed it.
