I watched 3 different walkoffs this morning from Tuesday games. Cubs, Houston and San Diego. They all used water, powder and bubble gum.

The White Sox have won three in a row and four of their last five games. But they face the Cubs for three games this weekend and this nonsense will probably come to an end then.

The Red Sox fell below .500 tonight thanks to the Tigers walkoff win.

Walking off the Red Sox.  Does it get any sweeter?  Well, yeah...Walking them off two nights in a row.

Some people might think that walking off the Yankees would be sweeter, and I respect that.  But for me, oh it's so so sweet to do it to the Red Sox.  Oh baby.

I'm with ya. Since 2013 I've despised the Red Sox the most. Yankees and Dodgers right behind them. While I'm at it, eff the Celtics too!

I'm too young to recall 68. I do remember 72, including Campy's bat throw at Lagrow. 

My father talks of the 68 team much like AJ talks about this team. A lot of fight to the end wins. In 84 it seemed Lou always lead off with a hit and they scored right away, and dominated. I didn't look at stats. Maybe I'm misremembering, a la Petite. Since last August I've been loving this team

The 68 team definitely won a lot of games after the 7th inning.  The 84 team just punched the sh*t out of everyone.

I don’t know if all the dopamine and endorphin rushes I’m getting from these dramatic wins is good for me. But they’re quite enjoyable.

Too bad we won't be going back to Colorado.  That high was much more even.

The division has played 700 ball for 50 games - 35-15 and that includes the White Sox 5 - 5.

'68 Tigers out homered the next best HR hitting ateam in the league by 40%, and were the highest total scoring team in the AL, so with scoring being low to begin with, that long ball advantage did play very well late in games. Funny thing for that era was that they where a poor BA club. But oddly enough, they walked a lot and combined with hitting the long ball they led the league in -- you guessed it - OPS! And we could have felt good about that instead of obsessing about the teams poor BA - that is if anyone in '68 had had a clue what OPS was.....

My memory of 68 is that Willie Horton would hit a 2 run homer in the 7th inning and the Tigers would win 2-1.  How often did that actually happen?  Maybe only once or twice.  I feel like McLain's 30th win was a game like that. Too lazy to look it up.

Upon awaking I’m still basking in the afterglow of these last three games.

I don’t even care if televised highlight reels want only to depict that dramatic home run robbing play by the Red Sox and seemingly dismiss the sweep of the Red Sox as incidental.

I doubt if the Red Sox players themselves think that event makes up for what they endured this weekend no matter how many times it’s replayed.

I simply enjoy living within the bubble of my own team’s universe.

I enjoyed watching Devers and Bregman in last night’s game. The contrast between the two was thrilling. 

Devers is like the seething outer perimeter of a hurricane’s arms that can flatten everything in its path. He’s imposing and terrifying to behold as his arms and legs rotate with destructive fury before delivering death.   

And Bregman is like the calm, still center of the hurricane itself that eventuates in the same kind of damage without losing its focus.

I wonder how long it will be until there is breaking news out of Baltimore. The Orioles were supposed to be where the Tigers are this year. They now occupy the bottom of the AL East.
