I know Skubal is a professional. I know he's a good team player by all accounts. But how are you not pissed at your teammates, giving them a great outing, with only one run given up, and you might lose a one run game. It would take a lot got me not to be pissed.

And after tonight, we will both be up 2-0 in our respective series.

It's not looking real wonderful right now.  10 more outs

I don’t know why Skubal would want to re-sign with the Tigers when this is the offense they put around him. One hit in six innings. Pathetic.

Don't worry, our prospects will be up in two years.

You can rest easy.  He was never going to re-sign with them anyway nor were the Tigers actually serious about re-signing him.

The good news for Skubal is there is a great chance he gets traded to a big market team next season and that team probably will have players that can score runs.

Doubt he wants to sign with a Canadian team.

I agree with both of these points. I think the Mets are going to back up a Brinks truck.

But when the Tigers seem to just want to make Skubal the next Felix Hernandez, it’s just disrespectful to who he is as an all-world athlete.

Scott Harris should be ashamed of the lineup he's fielded this latter half of the season. I know he made an aggressive offer to Bregman in the offseason, but the was seemingly it. To not add a big right-handed bat either in the offseason or at the trade deadline was terrible. Harris can think all he wants about this team not being ready on his time line. But your timeline and plan has to be adjusted when you have the best ****ing pitcher in the league. You have to build around that and the lineup he built around Skubal is reminiscent of a Randy Smith lineup circa 1999.

Scott Harris has done a nice job drafting. He really has by all the early accounts. But he wants to be rigid and stick to his plan and not bring up Kevin McGonigle. You need to do something, anything, to inject life into one of the worst lineups in the majors for the last two months of the season.
