This is a problem. Fractured locker room. Fist fights, dirty looks. Man, and I was so excited yesterday. 1 Quote

IdahoBert Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I haven’t been this excited in years. Having JV back is like something out of a storybook. I just never thought there was any chance of him wearing a Tigers uniform again. I just hope our position players remember how to hit the ball this year. Quote
theroundsquare Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago To remember, they'd have to have known in the first place . . . Quote
IdahoBert Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Framber is 5‘11“ and JV is 6‘5“. At 5‘9“ I would look short compared to Framber although I weigh 30 pounds less. Quote

Does this mean that all heights reported for all major leaguers are now dead balls accurate? Quote
tiger2022 Posted 47 minutes ago Posted 47 minutes ago I was 5-11 and 175 lbs as a junior in high school and met Whitaker and Trammell. Trammell is listed at 6-0, 165 lbs and Whitaker at 5-11, 160 lbs. The weights might have been correct but I was at least 2 inches taller than Whitaker and a good inch taller than Trammell. They were more like 5-9 or 5-10. Quote
theroundsquare Posted 38 minutes ago Posted 38 minutes ago it's not just mlb. a couple years ago -- maybe a few years ago -- i was walking the streets of birmingham and i ended up next to kyrie irving at a crosswalk. i am 5'10" on my best day. i was eye to eye with that dude Quote

casimir Posted 25 minutes ago Posted 25 minutes ago I’ve heard on a few podcasts that Valdez can be a bit …… what’s the best way to put it, …. He’s got some personality traits, shall we say. But I suppose Hinch had him before, so he probably knows what to expect, how to deal with him. But this appears to be a solid rotation, one that could rival 2013’s Verlander, Scherzer, Sanchez, Fister, and Porcello? It’s tough to imagine quite the same thing since pitching has evolved so much since then. But could this group stay healthy enough to start 140+ games? Before you look it up, the previous quintet tossed 156 starts with Jose Alvarez starting the other 6. Quote
Tenacious D Posted 22 minutes ago Posted 22 minutes ago I’m very excited for Verlander to be back, but if we’re being honest, Reese is probably a better pitcher at this point in their careers. 1 Quote
