Brieske to the 60-day IL. Seabold has no options left. We can't send him to the minors without exposing him to waivers and we had to add him to our 40 man roster. Really?? Quote
gehringer_2 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago his ST numbers with the Jays are busy if nothing else. 13K in 6 2/3 IP but also 7 hits, 4BB and 3 HB! Quote

He’ll try to successfully slip him through waivers when they add someone like McGonigle to the 40 man. He’s been successful before with this strategy. Quote

theroundsquare Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago so the OF is Greene, Meadows, Vierling, Carpenter sometimes, and Jones sometimes, I guess Quote
Tenacious D Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Where does McGonigle and Keith play? I’d be surprised if they made a rookie bounce between SS and 3B. If he’s 3B, is Keith mostly a DH? Quote

(Or rotate it and let Riley be the DH every few days) Then you can mix it up a bit and have McKinstry at 3B, Carpenter in RF and Keith DH against back of the rotation RHPs. With McGonigles skill set, you play him every day or why bother having him on the roster. Edited 3 hours ago by monkeytargets39 1 Quote
Tigermojo Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Knowing Hinch, there will be about 140 different lineups. 2 Quote

I think it was just spring training "let's try him out here just in case"... which will only come into a play in the regular season if a problem or injury occurs. IMO. Quote

Against a tough RHP, Javy sits, McG goes to short, Keith to 3rd, or they sit Tork and Keith goes to 1st. Colt is pretty much the only other guy on the team now who plays 1st at all. Or they sit Tork and and Javy and go with Colt, , Gleyber, McK, McG, And everybody rotates through DH. With Vierling healthy, when they sit Parker against LHP matt probably gets those PA and Javy stays at short. Edited 2 hours ago by gehringer_2 Quote

I'm going to put my money the other way. I like what I've seen from McG at 3b a lot, and Javy can still pick it at SS. Quote

Both positions are hard to fill so he will take one of them and he seems a natural at 3B. I think he will out hit Bregman playing third this season. The kid's a freak unicorn. I still like Peck for shortstop or of course Rainer. Farm system making bank !! Quote
