Skubal and Mize leaving means we need to address their 26% of innings every turn. Less of a concern during the season, but much larger issue in shorter playoff series. Quote

I don’t buy that. I get that there would be a reaction anytime you sell players, but this seems overly dramatic. I would think they’d have a stronger reaction to Jake Rogers leaving who was frequently cited for his leadership and personality. Quote

monkeytargets39 Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Another thing worth considering, although kind of a non-issue is that the more high school guys we draft, the earlier in their lives they hit free agency. It’ll be interesting to see how the CBA and draft rules play out. Greene and Tork will be 27 and 29 respectively when they hit free agency. If they don’t end up allowing High School kids to be drafted like some seem to think, that’s a huge plus for the owners when guys aren’t hitting free agency at all until they’re 30 Quote
