gehringer_2 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago (edited) batters 5->9 were 1 for 18. They are walking a lot but walks are a really hard way to score runs unless you hit too. Edited 11 hours ago by gehringer_2 Quote

papalawrence Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago 2026 was going to be such a great Detroit year. Lions, Wings, now likely Pistons. Can the Tigers salvage Motown's year? Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Something has to change. Just make a move to make a move. Shake them up. This team is in a Coma. Perez, Short, Jones - no business being on a major league roster. Dump them and call up Malgeri, DeJong and Max Anderson. Do something. Please. The two starting pitchers you count on right now, Montero and Valdez give you really good starts and you waste them. Get rid of Torkelson too. Is there someone better to play first? I don't know, but I've just had enough. My patience with him is over now. With the injuries he's one of the guys that needed to step up and he's been brutal the last two weeks. Last 14 games 7 for 50 for a robust .140 BA. 4 RBI. Just go away. Just put Colt Keith over there. Quote

I don't think they think his glove plays on an MLB middle IF but he'd probably do at 1st. Edited 10 hours ago by gehringer_2 Quote

gehringer_2 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago (edited) anyone have a good rationale for why Riley isn't batting behind McGonigle where he could be driving him around once in a while? Or at least 3rd if you wanted to get a RH bat between them. Edited 10 hours ago by gehringer_2 Quote

I mean, don’t get me wrong, I could be talked into that, but then what do we do with him while his value is at low ebb? Quote

chasfh Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Just now, NorthWoods said: No sense to keep playing him at low ebb. If you would choose to stop playing Tork, what would you do with him? Bench him and use him as a pinch-hitter like Jahmai? Exile him to the minors indefinitely? Trade him for whatever you could get? Release him outright? Quote
