22 years ago I walked out of Tiger Stadium for the last time..... I love this photo of my friend and I as we're still season ticket holders today.  He's 63 now, had some serious health issues, multiple heart attacks, got covid this year the same week he got vaccinated, etc.  But we got to go to 4 games together once he got his energy level up.  We joke that I'm older now than he was then.  Seems like yesterday.

I yearn for the day next season when I will see the first lineup without Niko or W. Castro.

How about this lineup:

Akil Baddoo LF/DH/CF

Robbie Grossman  RF/LF

Jonathan Schoop 2B/1B

Carlos Correa SS

Miguel Cabrera DH/1B

Jeimer Candelario 3B/1B/DH

Spencer Torkelson 1B/DH/3B

Eric Haase C/LF/DH

Riley Greene CF/LF/RF

Reserves:

Derek Hill CF

H. Castro PH/DH/2B

Dustin Garneau C - until Jake Rogers returns

some combination of the gristle left over from the mess of W Castro/Niko Goodrum/Vic Reyes/Isaac Parades/Zack Short

Yup, that's the one. I'm have no dog in a fight over whether Reyes or Hill wins the battle for more PA, but the rest is where they need to end up by sometime in May.

I sure hope they can remember how to hit the ball and that it will not result in pop-ups or line drives directly at outfielders or easy ground balls for double plays.

Is this your duress signal?   Tell us where to send the swat team!

Are you implying trading W Castro Niko Goodrum and Daz Cameron for Carlos Correa Riley Green and Spencer Torkelson ?

Trading for Carlos Correa will not be necessary.  Sending his agent a gigantic check and giving up our draft pick will be.

I'm not sold on Haase just yet.  Even if the don't get Correa they can still get upgrades to Niko and W. Castro.  I like Hill but he has to stay healthy.

no, Haase is a nice backup/utility guy and he might be a great platoon with a young Alex Avila, but I don't see LH platoon catcher candidate out there.

Watching Tiger shortstops this season has been the one deeply masochistic aspect of this year's fandom.

Now watching one in LF is just as painful
