Why do I feel lousy every weekend?

Because I don't HAVE to go to work?

I love my job.  I really really do.   I look forward to doing it.  I look forward to going into work.    Now, if there is a snowstorm, I have the work at home option, sure, but I like going to work.    Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life.

The only real gripe I have about it is the distance.  It's about 25 miles each way.   Might not be much for you, but I wish I lived closer (but the house I am in is paid for, and even if I sold it, I'm not coming close to buying a house in Washtenaw County).

But this is the third straight weekend that I have felt sick and lethargic.    I know it might have to do with it being 11 degrees outside and I haven't been able to do a lot.    I could try the Dearborn gym, but still having mild vertigo from the ear thing.

I think it's because I don't have to get any work done and my body is punishing me for it.   I am way, way ahead on things too.

I bet if it was 40 and Sunny I'd be alright.      Just imagine how good that day is gonna feel now.     Accuweather doesn't have us getting above freezing until February 26th.        Maybe I should take a weed gummy and watch some Brady Bunch reruns.   It never rained once on that show.   Not once.        It rained on The Partridge Family.  They got stuck on the road because of rain washing out a bridge or something - so they lived in a motel for several days and drove each other crazy.  Might have been the first time Danny Bonaduce brought a prostitute to a motel.  Wouldn't be the last.

Here we go

It’s seasonal depression.  We’ve not been above freezing in 2 weeks and  no relief in sight. It’s snowed 19 straight days.  The last few weekends I decided to make soup on either Saturday or Sunday to fill my time.  Twice we’ve driven to twelve oaks mall just to move around and walk and be around peoole.

I’ve been a member of our rec center for 20+ years.  It was on this day 14 years ago I began going consistently. I would walk the track and listen to this relatively new thing called podcasts.  Try a yoga class. The instructor is awesome.

And 25 miles of commuting is actually not short (especially in my neck of the woods, don't know about yours). I remember when my SIL found a job with a commute of 5 minutes instead of 40... her health and mood improved significantly.

That's what I keep telling myself, its only been two weekends and yesterday's "event" was a nothing burger (not complaining). It's cold today and i'm sitting here at the CW Visitor Center playing on the internet.

Last week's ice was maddening, we don't have the proper tools to break up ice about 3/4 of an inch thick, along with snow sheets.  Temps will be above freezing this week. the past week was a reminder why we left...(or one of the reasons)

It's a week after the storm, and many of the sidewalks here are impassable, or blocked with snowbanks (caused by plows) that are quite literally taller than we are. The reason we're given for roads being the main focus is so emergency vehicles can get through, but isn't it also pretty important for them to be able to get to the buildings where the emergencies are?

Also this is New England. While this amount of snow isn't so common in Boston, shouldn't we be able to deal with it better?
