It's so HIgh & Dry that Duane Kuiper could have hit as many as 2 or 3 home runs per year. -
It’s really really dry. And the degree of which that has an effect that is a big deal.

Oh, and while I don't think GR would ever be considered for MLB, I wonder why it's not a AAA market at it's size. It's basically a five-hour ferry ride to Milwaukee. So if Nashville goes MLB, the Brewers would need a new AAA team. Grand Rapids would be PERFECT ! -
How hard they focus on needs depends on if they plan on spending anymore money to patch the few holes they have left. If they could sign Clowney then i would be fine with waiting to grab an edge. Same with replacing Anzelone. I don't see a way aroung addressing OT this year, with at least a day 2 pick.

The problem with Indy getting a team is that the White Sox, Reds and Cardinals would freak out about it. The Cubs would quiety pout too. But, a relocation is another story. I think the Rays are staying in FLA, but could move to Orlando and possibly Charlotte NC, but I am pretty sure MLB wants their footprint to remain in the SE. But the Brewers and White Sox have been fussing about a relocation - and while I feel like the Brewers are mostly bluffing, I could see the White Sox moving - based on Chicago letting the Bears get away. A move to Indy would not be too crazy. There are a fair amount of White Sox fans already in the state and the diehards in Chicago could possibly make that trip to see them in Indy. The Indianapolis White Sox sounds horrible and yes, my fictional Indianapolis Ignition isn't great either, it does have a ring to it. I think the other place that should be, but will NEVER be considred for an expansion team is Northern New Jersey. Plenty of money, population and political corruption to make it happen, but the blue bloods in NY, Philly and even Boston would lose their f'ing minds To me the best relocation places are.. 1. Nashville - Shoo-in for a team by 2032. There is a bit of a regional hole too. They're already selling merch ! 2. Northern New Jersey - Checks every box, but it'd be blocked 3. Indianapolis - I think it's a great spot, despite the whining from the Reds and Cardinals 4. Charlotte (or Raleigh/Durahm) - Plenty of money and population in Carolina, but are they into baseball? 5. Portland Regionally it makes sense. A lot of the type of people that would like baseball, but a political nightmare 6. San Jose - Stat nerds unite. Not every baseball fan in the region is a Giants fan and the A's would have been much better off in SJ than in Vegas. That's going to be a flop within 5 years. 7. Vancouver - I think it's a better case than MTL. 8. Montreal - I do think romantically about the innocent days of Jarry Park and the logo that I thought was an "elb" and not an "M", unless it's both. The confusing logo and the weird stadiums were part of the charm, but MTL is the Portland of Canada - a political nigthmare 9. Salt Lake City - I am with you Idaho Bert. I don't get it. But there's a lot of money there, or so I'm told. But the elevation is an issue, and isn't the air even drier than Denver? And the Metro population is only slightly bigger than Grand Rapids. Would you even consider MLB in Grand Rapids? No. -

I would personally be underwhelmed, but not upset, if they picked a safety in the first round. I think safety is a very real option for them. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they had any or all of Caleb Downs, Dillon Thieneman, and Emmanuel McNeil-Warren rated high on their draft boards. Drafting a safety would allow them to play a lot of 5-6 defensive back sets and put more guys in the box. They would utilize a safety as opposed to putting a third linebacker on the field. So essentially, the safety they could draft would be Anzalone's replacement. They could also moonlight their safety as a slot corner, depending on who they pick as well. Thieneman specifically played the box safety role at Oregon and played as a lot corner at time. He's got the speed and athleticism they like. He also offers good range in coverage across the middle of the field and can step down low more often to play against the run. We know the Lions love guys against the run. With the injury uncertainties they have and letting Anzalone go, safety could be a real option for them at #17.

Yet another reason women choose the bear? As if things like the rape academy wouldn't be more than enough...

You're back home from the previous night out by 9am? -
Definitely from the Hall of Very Good. 2,500+ hits, consistently on the field. Interesting that BR has the most similar career to be Steve Garvey.

In between this, the bear, and whale carcass, it sounds like things a serial killer would do.

Jim Rutherford just admitted the Canucks tanked hard. “It is always difficult when you have a bad season but this one was on purpose. It is about time the Canucks have luck in getting a high pick”. I mean, we all knew, but aren’t you at least supposed to pretend?

They call that the ultimate "upsell". He probably had one bad lugnut. The advisor is paid moslty on commission and said to himself "The worst the customer can say is no." He made $20 and the tech pulled $100 and the dealer gets the rest. COG was probably $10

as much as I bag on ep40 for being soft and the most overpaid player in the league, im almost positive vancouver will get more than just two god awful overpaid players like compher and rasmussen in return.

Bummer. He was playing PCL AAA for Vancouver when we first moved to Vancouver, saw him play here a few games.

that's just silly. any such arrangement without trevor linden is meaningless!

Agree to a point. The early seasons and novels were very good, the last couple of years have turned into a slog. Actually I feel the same about the Daniel Silva “Gabriel Allon novels. Used to look forward to the annual July drop. I’ll still buy it but it seems that retirement for the Artist/Spy is lacking something, I kind of miss the old Israeli spy group. He’s been doing them for 20 plus years now. The current bad guys have turned into very rich mafia types -
dang.... yeah he was indeed a very solid player.

Janet Mills is right there who stood up to Trump’s face and he backed down. The choice seems to obvious.

Illustrating what everyone has been talking about regarding how bad the bottom 6 has been. They really need to figure out how to get rid of Compher and Ras.
-
We'll take that POS Adam Fantilli off their hands...and that Werenski bum. Realistically...former 1st rd pick Kent Johnson tailed off badly this year...maybe we could get him. I'm sure Ken Daniels would love to have another UM guy to talk about
