i like the play in round. i hate the nba playoff schedule tjat refuses to show more than one gane at a time and results in 3 or 4 days between games. they should be playing roughly every other day.

I watched the first season of Cross on Amazon Prime. It's based on the James Patterson books of the Alex Cross series, which I've read. The first season of Cross was really good. The 2nd season? Not so much, way too confusing. Of course, IMO.

Having had a few "encounters" with Colonial Williamsburg's Martha Washington, I can attest this is close to her "public' personality. I don't know about her privately..

That link works to embed. Some don't, I think the way the tweet is posted makes it different? Anyway, this is how it works for me. In the lower right corner is this symbol...click it; After then, it the lower left, click this symbol; And then, click the right side of this message box; After clicking it, a message should appear briefly telling you "copied to clipboard"....then just come here and press an empty space on a new message. It should show up as a link for a few seconds until it embeds. This is the way I do it, there may be other (easier) ways.

Assuming the Lions don't trade up or down from pick #17 next week, I think this would be my list of guys I would want the Lions to draft. The second list are guys I still like, but would be underwhelmed, but not upset, if they took them. The third list are the guys I wouldn't be interested in drafting at all. I tried to keep my want list realistic, so as not to include someone like a David Bailey, Francis Magnoia, or Arvell Reese. Want: Spencer Fano, OT/Utah Monroe Freeling, OT/Georgia Rueben Bain Jr., DE/Miami Blake Miller, OT/Clemson Akheem Mesidor, DE/Miami Vegea Ioane, G/Penn State Jermod McCoy, CB/Tennessee Mansoor Delane, CB/LSU Cashius Howell, DE/Texas A&M Like, but underwhelmed: Dillon Thieneman, S/Oregon Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, S/Toledo Avieon Terrell, CB/Clemson Max Iheanachor, OT/Arizona State Caleb Banks, DT/Florida Don't Want: Kenyon Sadiq, TE/Oregon Kaydn Proctor, OT, Alabama Keldric Faulk, DE/Auburn

Such a dumb, shortsighted move by an organization that doesn’t get it. Everyone knows it takes a GM at least 10 years to build something.

Maybe there's an extension in your browser that's interfering with the ability to convert it to a visual SM post, something like uBlock or AdBlock? If you have these or other extensions enabled in your browser, maybe try disabling them one at a time and then posting the link after each disabling to see whether any of those might be the problem?

It's way beyond my reach but i have lots of friends who have. One year I was tracking 5 people. It's a bitch to qualify for, even if you meet one of the qualifying times, it always changes. They let a lot of people in who raise money for charity. My wife wanted to do 5 marathons before she turned 50 but covid got in the way, if she plans to do another it will be NY or Chicago. -
12th best goalie, 12th best record.

I haven’t run Boston. I ran qualifying times in the ‘80s but never got around to it and seemed like I had endless time to do so. Then life happened and by the time I got back into marathons starting around 2009 my times had slipped and then I shifted to trails/ultras. Have to admit though, if I could qualify I would love to run Boston. My sister ran it, is glad to do it, but like tigers337’s comment the point to point nature of the course made buses as much of an effort as the run. No interest in other majors though. Chicago was worst experience of my 30 or so marathons/ultras because of having to pick through thousands of people who had placed themselves in faster corrals than they should have. In the mid-80s there used to an Emily & Pooh 10k that ended on the Tiger Stadium warning track. Did that a couple of times then sat in the bleachers in the afternoon. -

I've been a runner in the Boston area for 50 years and even I haven't run the Boston Marathon. The logistics of getting there and getting out does not sound fun. Most people I know have run it which makes it seem like not a big deal to me. I prefer the low key races. -
All together now....

Has anyone here ever ran Boston? I have not. I have no interest in 1) trying to qualify, 2) Paying mid 4-figures to buy my way in. I've run handful of "big" races like Grandma's, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, but the majors like New York, Chicago, and Boston have never been on my bucket list. Too Many people, to hard to get around before and after the race. I have several times been able to run a marathon and then take in a ball game afterwords. That makes for a great day!! -
Here we are Friday morning and the Pistons still have more than 48 hours before their first playoff game, and we still don't know their opponent. We can get rid of this play-in round anytime.

Strange, that works for me elsewhere but not here. As you can see in my post above ^^^ I pasted the link and got....the link.

Lets hope they don't take any games off of the ones they are scheduled to play. -
My guess it that the moral/spiritual angle is a part of it, just not the only or even the primary reason. I'm still curious to see if recent actions/statements by the Pope will create more interest in the Catholic Church.
