  1. Past hour
  2. This is why you never reply in the affirmative if “someone” on the phone asks you if you can hear them. It’s usually a bot. I always repeat “what?!” because a human would answer differently.
  3. Ok, fellas. He’s about to be exiled from Canada. Are we in on trade talks for a prototypical power forward?
  4. Fascinating to see how this crowd operates.
  5. Genuinely astounding at a time of higher gas prices and Americans feeling as anxious as ever about their own personal finances, *this* is something that vulnerable Rs are running with.
  6. a good point.
  7. Stephen Miller looking for more power to grab (see what I did there) Pressure builds to oust Wiles after Trump dinner shooting that article is fed by someone feeding it to the "journalist"
  8. Today
  9. Looks like the Idiotic Trump regime is trying to pressure the UK by threatening the Falklands Islands. Last time it was under threat the Reagan admin had a boner for the Argentine Junta fighting communists and now the MAGA idiots love them some Millei. Nazis gonna nazi.
  10. win this one and theyre back to being the favorite.
  11. Sounds like Julie K. Brown's life is in serious danger from the MAGAs and Russia-adjacent types like this guy Michael Tracey. 'P*ssy!' Michael Tracey and Jim Acosta Almost Fight
  12. She's got a heart of gold tho.
  13. Why not have a LIV baseball league?
  14. Orlando shot 45% from three in game three. Their season averages was 34%.
  15. Huerter listed as questionable with a sore hip.
  16. It was in. Canadian TV spent way too long during the broadcast and post-game saying "yeah, we know it's in, but the ref should never have called a good goal on the ice, and if they hadn't then the goal may have been disallowed after review for being inconclusive". Can't help but think though that if were the Wings threatening to score, the refs somehow would have "lost sight of the puck" and blown the whistle.
  17. I want Babe Ruth...do they still have that guy ?
  18. In a night of ups and downs, the thing I'll remember about this game more than anything was Bobby Scales' story about how he almost gave up baseball and why he didn't. Maybe he's told that story before, but I never heard it. It made me a little bit of a Bobby Scales' fan hearing him being as honest as he could and revealing a major point in his life. I've always looked at him as some generic guy with the Tigers' announcing crew that I wondered why the heck he was here. At least I remembered Rod Allen from the 1984 Tigers. It made him a lot more human at least to me.
  19. This with one or two other points has been pretty much my thoughts all season. I really tried to enjoy the regular season and initially hoped by the trade deadline something would change this dynamic so that this team could legitimately contend in the playoffs. When it didn't, I just tried to enjoy the regular season and just hope I was wrong. My nephew (who I go to the occasional game with or we exchange texts during games) tried to convince me otherwise, but it was always apparent after the trade deadline this team was going to find it mighty hard in every round of the playoffs. I would've hoped they could get out of the first round. At the very least I wanted them to get that first playoff series win, but even that is looking crazily hard. The Pistons win game #4 and it's basically best of three with two games in Detroit. Have to win game #4.
  20. You will find other entertaining means to "kill your back" if you are like me. I hope you can find some sort of compromise. The other day, I realized that I'm close to seeing my last "long-term generation" of players in athletics. At 57, if this year's rookie class plays 18 years, I'll be 75. That's pretty darn close. Every 8 to 10 years I kind of label a group sort of in its own generation of players. I mean, how long will I be able to do that? Not much longer. A little depressing, but it's the facts.
  21. Thanks for the tips.
  22. Best run blocking WR since Hines Ward?
  23. I’m counting eight new names at DL.
  24. They have been horrible defensively with pretty much the same defenders as last year. Hopefully things even out over the rest of the season.
  25. I did and wish I had not. I don't have the stomach for those things.
