I wonder if they would trade Jake to save money?
-
But I would bet that they will stay under. Losing those draft picks would be too painful. I'm guessing they bank on return from injury (Melton & Verlander & Jobe + others?) as well as a little bit of internal development from the minors (Clark?). No big trade deadline moves. If that is enough to get them into the playoffs, they can bank on Skubal + Valdez to win them series in the playoffs.

Remember this when the MAGA bots spout off about how we haven’t had a king since 1776.

Two predictions: All current passports will be invalidated by a certain date—let's say Dec 31, 2026—and holders will be required by executive order to replace them with new Trump-face passports at a cost upwards of $200 per passport, or else face fines upwards of $10,000 and imprisonment in a converted warehouse of up to two years for failure to do so by March 31, 2027. By another certain date—let's say June 30, 2027—all U.S. residents will be required to carry passports on their persons at all times to facilitate identification on demand by police military authorities posted around the country. There will be two passports types: standard blue for citizens, green for non-citizens. Cost of passports will also be $200 per person and all proceeds to go to the Board of Peace. Wages will be garnished for failure to pay. Damn, I should write a hard political fiction novel.

How about something crazier… Why not fire Todd and bring in Sergei to be the coach. Use his pull to become a potential landing spot for Russian players. Michkov would probably thrive under him. Also use Sergei’s contacts to bring a few players straight from the KHL and use in a similar roster building fashion as a higher tier college free agent. Fans would be on board. It would be a big shakeup that Stevie needs without having to carve up the entire roster.
-
They can probably patch things up in the offseason.
-
"I thought he was the lesser of two evils" comes up a lot. How you like him now.
-
I was talking about the EV piece. The rest of the world has stayed on that path as a future technology. We have moved almost completely off it for 100% political reasons.
-
I’m thinking they are going to have a hard time staying under. Thank you for these numbers.
-
If i had on nitpick with this draft it would have been trading up for Moore when there were a few edges still on the board if he was hellbent on drafting an edge there. There was still quite a bit of talent left in the fourth. Other than that it will be interesting to see how Rolder and Moore fit in the defense since they are a bit different Anzelone and Davenport. Also hoping that they have some cap space left for DJ Reader, I hate having to rely on Levi.
-
It could also be a way to try to convince 'Libruls' to not get one. I wonder if defacing the picture would be a crime?
-
Speaking of unknown numbers/scans.... there has been an increasing number of spam texts telling me that I have to follow a link to verify that I made a charge, or a picture of a document telling me I'd better pay my parking ticket or I may face jail time. UGH.

The Lions do have a fascination with small receivers. -

Gas prices were this high in 2022 due to the Russia/Ukraine conflict (the chart porn proves it) and the BlueMAGA cult members just put Ukrainian flags in their yard and cheered. How's that for politics? The country is a ****ing mess, has been a ****ing mess, and will continue to be a ****ing mess, and well over half the population has their heads stuffed up their ass and think electing ANY of these worthless pukes will fix the ****ing mess. How's that for politics since we have to go there?

As much as I'd love to see it, I can't buy it. Unlike 2003 we don't have a Tayshuan Prince waiting in the wings to overtake Michael Curry and shut down TMac. Unless you think that's Ron... That said, I'd actually love to see a lineup shakeup. What do we have to lose at this point? We aren't scoring in the half-court with any lineup JB puts out there, so let's take back the paint and try to win the possession battle again. Give me a bunch of double-big with Stew alongside Duren and Reed to match their size and put a better defender on Paulo. Play Ron and more Javonte for disruption. Lean into our identity even harder and just try to impose our will on Orlando for once. If we're gonna go out in the first round, let's go out embracing our identity. -

Ethan is a lot more accurate than Spotrac (which is not reliable at all) and closer than Cots (although Cots has gotten better at back of roster estimations) https://x.com/i/status/2047692416472297586

Exactly. Cade and Ausar are the building blocks. First team All NBA PG and a First Team All Defensive wing. While a (real) second All-Star would be nice, you really just need basic 3-and-D players at SG and PF along with a cheap Center. A basic backup ballhandler off the bench who isn't a G-Leaguer would help as well. That's not asking much and luckily you have a 22 year old first time All-Star you can sign and trade this offseason to help get a significant portion of that accomplished. -
Everything they do is to please a 4 year old man child
