  1. Past hour
  2. Where's Micky Redmond? He'd know
  3. It's the trick they learned from their Russian benefactors, something that was new to America: just train a fire hose of craziness, corruption, and distraction toward the American public, and the critics will be dancing around so much trying to respond coherently to all of it that they won't be able to keep any of it in the news for more than a single cycle. No other president had the fire hose, so none of the other ones could ever get away with anything remotely close to this.
  4. "Small price to pay", says the guy who never has to buy any gas.
  5. Vierling CF McGonigle SS Jones, Jah DH Dingler C Greene, R LF Pérez, W RF Torkelson 1B McKinstry 3B Lee, H 2B
  6. I've seen people say both, I need an actual authority to set me straight!
  7. Yeah, I guess it doesnt matter who Harris trades for, starters or relievers. He's probably not even going to make any big deals, he hasn't made any significant trades. It would be nice if he were to bring in some pitching but Mize and Melton will both be back. And JV still may contribute, we just don't know. JV to the pen? That would be...dramatic.
  8. Epstein was worth all of this?
  9. “Askarov was selected by Nashville with the No. 11 pick in the 2020 NHL Draft. The 22-year-old is 1-1-0 with a 2.58 goals-against average and .914 save percentage in three games over two seasons with the Predators.” Askarov hadn’t played in the NHL either. Maybe there are better comps for Cossa, but Askarov was one draft year ahead of Cossa and this trade was a year and a half ago. It’s probably not wildly unrealistic.
  10. Khan says he is not exempt. https://www.mlive.com/redwings/2026/03/sebastian-cossas-consistency-shows-hell-be-nhl-ready-soon.html Puckpedia says he is: https://puckpedia.com/waivers-tracker/sebastian-cossa I think Puckpedia is right but what do I know.
  11. Mobley is a nice player...but I thought he'd be more than that when he was drafted
  12. Tigers can sign him to a one-yar $40 million prove it deal.
  13. who would he be an upgrade on and how would we know? he hasnt played in the nhl. if a team is in desperate need of a goalie for next year, they probably go the free agent route. a team could also try to pry hellebuyck from winnipeg since he seems quite unhappy. if anything, i think we overrate cossa here, like we do most wings' prospects. were fans. we want to believe.
  14. We’re still about a half hour or so south of Toledo.Im not sure I could see him over the Jersey Barriers anyway
  15. Today
  16. We’re spending the night in Perrysburg. Have tickets for tomorrow night. May have to find some long underwear, our time in Va has made 40 degree nights a bit chilly without a fire. Actually radar has this band going south of the city this evening
  17. i swaer i heard he is not exempt.
  18. Driving north on I75 just south of Findlay , really nasty band of showers heading NE This looks like a long night around Comerica Park
  19. And now after looking at Puckpedia I think he might be exempt again next season if I'm reading their site right. I think I'm just going to stop looking into it and you all can just ignore me! It does change things with him a lot so it would be awesome if the team or league would confirm somehow.
  20. This is Lavert's former team. Sorry, that's where the minutes are going.
  21. Agreed. I always felt Weaver's strength was drafting. On the other hand, he also falls in love with draft prospects and will do anything to get the ones he wants. Maybe it doesn't go anywhere, but I'd be dialing him up this offseason.
  22. Not going to lose it all, but given his arm history and the fact that he'll be 30 (maybe 31 given cba turmoil), I don't see anybody ponying up 500 mil, or even 400 mil.
