Clearest evidence yet of self-inflicted damage

I noticed that. Magyar WINS in Hungary!!! Spectacular!!!

The Wings front office is the sales room in GlenGary GlennRoss. The question is who is going to give them the Alec Baldwin speech.

Susan Wiles move.

I guess he figured something out.

Burns is doing a little click bait here. If you read the article, he's not saying that Orban's defeat is bad for the Dems at all; all he is saying is the same thing everyone and their brother who has looked at the Democratic party Post Obama has said and continues to say, which is that the current national Democratic party is still a mess and can increase its chances substantially if they can do a little of what Magyar has done, which is persuade the public that they aren't same tired old group the public has disliked about as much as they are coming to dislike the GOP. BTW, is " Magyar" running in Hungary is a like a guy named English running for PM in England. Almost too cute, but it is apparently his real name.

This guy’s write up is worth a read. I said in another post that the front office looks like a DRW dynasty museum. This guy said something that serves as a counterpoint. He mentioned when a young player asked about Vladdy, “Who’s in the wheelchair?” This guy‘s point is that the young players don’t seem to have any understanding of the culture that made the Red Wings dynasty what it was. They might see some of these guys around the building but not understand the competitiveness that made them great. I don’t know what that means, but who is Draper competing against to keep his job as an executive the way he was competing to anchor the Grind Line? The front office seems like the place Wings greats have gone to take a victory lap.

mitchell and harden will hunt duncan all day long.

Although he has TWO right hands in this... Or maybe that also is more accurate...?

I really wanted NYK in our bracket. CLE is a pretty bad matchup for us. I think that's going to be a tight second round series that could go either way.

Did Harbour wear a fat suit? Someone with his girth should have a fuller face I think.

And react accordingly. Fight for our democracy. That is my immovable/ unchangeable position.

My problem with Denver is the same I had with a healthy Lakers team. Bad defense.

A few magical moments for me in the modern millennium. Game 5 of 2006 ALDS, defeating the Yankees (against everybody's expectation). And seeing the Tigers include the fans in the celebration, Kenny Rogers dumping a bottle of champagne on a cop, etc. So many iconic moments and a series result that nobody predicted. Game 4 of 2006 ALCS, Magglio Ordonez's walk off homerun, clinching a spot in the World Series. Verlander's first no hitter in 2007.

Is stink a person? Or not just sweating a lot playing football. If it's a person I'll guess it's Dan Skipper.

In 2024, he got a lot of first time support from younger and Hispanic voters. Both of these groups are big reasons why he ended up winning (with a difference of 250k votes over three states). And a lot of that came down to the economy and feelings about cost of living. One of these groups in particular (Hispanics) is also predominantly Catholic and one of the more likely groups to be annoyed or offended by the President trashing Pope Leo. The deadenders will never quit him, but what I wish more people would understand is that not every single person who voted for Trump in any of the last three Presidential elections (particularly the last one) is a Trump deadender. And yes, things that the President says that push those softer voters away and things that his opposition does matter in bringing people along.

There's undoubtedly plenty of people that will rationalize it away, but it isn't 100% either.

Ahh, I took it as the guy mocking religion and laughing at the fact that MAGA didn't get pissed until Trump mocked Jesus with a picture, but mocking jesus with his actions over the years was fine. To me, I saw enough prior to 2016, but I'm still completely lost on how he maintained support after 1/6/21. But at this point, if it leaked he demanded his TP to be under vs over and that lost him more votes, I'm all for it.

One of the saddest endings ever. It hit me hard, being an overweight middle-aged guy. Feeling invisible. Only difference is that I kind of like it.

Brent is a sarcasm guy.

I take it to mean "Ok, you say that now just to move on and not have to defend it, but next week you'll forget about it." I mean... how much more proof do we need of anything negative you could possibly say about him that wasn't there in 2016?

I too would like to believe that because all the prior crises in American history resolved normally while keeping our constitutional order intact, that this crisis will resolve the same way, by definition.

I might be annoyed at where they put their 'red' line, but happy when folks realize it's been crossed.
