  2. Except all the numbers say the opposite. The team is better on offense when he's on the court and has been all season. The reasons are simple: You get more disruption, allowing you to get layups in transition You get more stops, so you don't have to play against the opponents set half-court defense You get more offensive rebounds which usually result in higher percentage shots at the rim Conversely, when's he's off the floor opponents score more, so you're forced to play in the half-court Unless you're suddenly bringing Vinnie Johnson off the bench to jumpstart the offense, there's no one on this team worthy of sitting down a first team All-Defensive player. And even if you did, a scorer only can only match the opponents scoring. A disruptive defender like Ausar gives you more possessions - that means taking away a bucket from the opponent and getting an easy one for yourself. That's been their identity all season. When you do wind up in half-court sets it's simply poor/lazy coaching to leave him in the corner when team's are sagging off of him. He can be the screen setter or getter in the pick and roll, put in the dunker spot, be the DHO hub (Draymond), or simply play him more minutes with Stew at the 5. It's really not that hard. He's literally the best perimeter defender in the league and a freak athlete. He's also a very good passer and an decent enough ball-handler. If JB had any idea how to run an offense or adopt a strategy mid-game, this wouldn't be a problem. But we're seeing was Cleveland saw. He's great at building a regular season identity, but his in-game rotations, strategy, and decision making leave a lot to be desired.
  3. heurter could be that guy, but his shooting hasnt been too great for the last couple years.
  4. Today
  5. NL rules. On a more positive note the Mets are 7–16 have lost 12 games in a row and average slightly over three runs a game. On the negative side of things, depending on how many games they’ve played against the AL, the winning percentage you just quoted would’ve been even higher.
  6. i saw both kinds.
  7. But of course nobody is better for women than the Gilded Idol. Nobody!
  8. McGonigle 3B Torres 2B Jones, Jah DH Greene, R LF Torkelson 1B Pérez, W CF Carpenter RF Báez, J SS Rogers C
  9. Burch Smith up..DeJesus optioned.
  10. If there is a player beyond Robinson (who is supposed to be one of those players) can possibly do that, Marcus Sasser. It looks like he'll never play in a playoff game (don't think he did last season and he has hardly played this season) but over the last two seasons the few minutes he plays during the regular season he looks to be no worse than the team's second-best shooter from behind the arc.
  11. I guess the use of the "best hitter" term confuses me. Back in 2024, Hinch used Riley at leadoff for some games. I got tired of seeing him come to bat with the bases empty after our pathetic 7, 8 and 9 hitters made outs. When I questioned Hinch for using Riley at leadoff, the response I got in MTS was Hinch wanted his best hitter to get the most at bats. That never made sense to me and I think the Tigers took off and made the playoffs after Riley was moved down in the order. At least, I think so. I didn't look up the stats. But I guess all the responses I got here in MTS about a teams best hitter leading off were all wrong. Its starting to make sense now, I was right and didnt even know it 🤣🤣
  12. "Yes" didn't actually get that great of turnout compared to "No".... The analysis post-vote suggests that yesterday's electorate may have been more Republican than the one that gave Glenn Youngkin a win in 2021. But they drove home the message in NoVa hard and the swings in each of the counties around Washington were enormous. The two takeaways I have from the affair is that Elon Musk and DOGE get an assist in getting this across the finish line and that, in a Midterm environment where there are actual candidates on the ballot and not an issue referendum like this one, it's not going to go nearly as well for them electorate-composition wise as this one did
  13. This is very very sweaty.... and with good reason
  14. I have MLBTV for Tigers games. The only ads I saw all weekend were of some geezer standing in front of his tractor telling me to vote no. Every half inning, every pitching change. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday…..
  15. Downs would be good value. He is more of a Brian Branch type than a CF'er though. If Branch comes back they could put one of them in the slot. I think the Lions need to add speed to the defense though. I would like to see an edge that can't double as a three tech, but can actually play in space. And some faster LB'ers also.
  16. I think Thompson does create their offense through his defense. But you have to have SOME spacing out there or else cade is going 1-5. let ausar crash from the dunker spot. tobias has to play better and at least be a credible threat from 3. or put green in there. there have been a whole lot of surprising results so far. i expect the pistons to shoot better tonight and win, but it wouldnt surprise me if they dont. how many 39 point cade games can we expect?
  17. I like to watch the Ken Burns PBS Country Music documentary. In the section on Kris Kristofferson and Sunday Morning Coming Down and the lyrics: And somewhere far away a lonely bell was ringing And it echoed through the canyons Like the disappearing dreams of yesterday Larry Gatlin said: "All those words are in the dictionary but until Kris no one knew what damn order to put them in "
  18. That or as an in addition too. They may change up their defensive scheme and play three safteys and rotate guys in the box and coverage. This would mean they such to a two LB set. O could see all three of Branch, Downs, and Joseph on the field at the same time.
  19. The basic question comes down to whether the process was valid. A lower court ruled it was invalid. The Supreme Court allowed the referendum to go to a vote while they deliberated. The decision comes down to whether the General Assembly acted within the state constitution in redrawing the maps and whether redrawing the maps mid decade was allowed. The fact they fast tracked the review and allowed the vote to continue might be telling... Who knows Incidentally, in 2020 voters approved a constitutional amendment requiring redistricting maps be drawn by an "Independent Commission" (similar to Michigan ???). The commission was to be made up of legislators and private citizens from both parties. The Independent Commission could not agree on a compromise map. The State Constitution then required the State Supreme Court to appoint an Independent Special Masters group to draw the maps that are the current maps (before yesterday). The map we just voted on was drawn by the state legislature. The question is did the legislature overstep their constitutional rights. The state court could have stopped the stopped the vote, now they have to decide...
  20. Kerby replacement?
  21. This is a big reason for all the stupid distractions—it is so the abject destruction of government as a tool of the people can be replaced by government as a tool of the Trumpian oligarchy.
