Nothing espouses the teaching if Jesus Christ quite like an Easter Sunday quote from Donald Trump. But hey, this is what the people voted for and at least he isn't some black woman in The White House.

Honestly, Him being slightly off and seeing 37 degrees for gametime - going to the IL. I don't know that I'd blame him. They have said it's not that bad, but not to mess with it at 43 years old in this weather. There's going to be some pissed off fans - because they bought tickets to this game just to see him. -
of late...Drafting in the 2nd rd and beyond seems to be yielding more potential results...Augustine, Plante, Genborg...Dylan James looks like a potentiial bottom six fwd. Some other guys like Keenan, Soloman and Anton Johansson are generating some buzz.

For comparison’s sake, that was Ernie’s age in 1985.

Prepare to die. -
I’d be fine with that, although I like Dan as a radio guy.

She downed that like a seasoned vet.

Sounds 15th century. -
67. In announcer years that's like 45.

But if there were a runner at 3rd with one out and if he were to catch a ball at the wall, a runner could easily tag up and score the winning run anyway. They reviewed his catch and ruled it was an out so it seems they got the rule right. Even if fans dont agree, it's in the rules. And it's probably something most fans have ever seen, or will see again. Robbing 3 home runs and his team winning 1-0. Truly amazing...

There was a fantastic Baseball Digest article i remember from my youth that described the baseball personality types. The 3B was described as born commandos who volunteer for the dangerous missions and live on adrenaline. I would love to find that in an article somewhere. The descriptions of the other positions were great as well. Pitchers were sadists, SS and CF were the kid who dated cheerleaders and LF were jealous of the SS and CF but just a bit too lazy to be that.

Just keep in mind Dan's no spring chicken either.

I think the Tigers are preparing for this by using Dickerson on television while breaking in his replacement. Will make for a pretty smooth transition if Benetti leaves.
-
I survived the likes of Bob Prince, Harry Caray, Chip Caray, Hawk Harrelson. I can handle Benetti

If Trump dies, I think it’s at least 50-50 the remainder of the cabal goes hog wild on Iran, then Cuba, then the US people, before anything breaks our way. They won’t pussyfoot around anymore, to the degree they are still doing so.

How much do you think ratings would have improved if they brough him on in 2021-2022?

Nothing like celebrating this holy day like announcing your war crimes

I think I qualified my statement well enough.

I don’t disagree on principle, but rule 5.06(b)(3)(C) is pretty clear that when a fielder tumbles into the stands after a catch, the batter is out, the ball is dead, and all runners advance one base, and the rule does not draw a distinction between fair and foul. There were no runners on base here this time, but imagine Adell making that catch in a tie game on the road in the bottom of the ninth with a runner on third a one out. The winning run would get to trot home, the game would be lost for the Angels, and the catch would be good only for his stats and his reel. And if he makes the catch in that situation while going into foul territory, then he would be 100% at fault for losing the game by making the catch at all instead of letting it go.

He was a good hire, but their ratings are up because they are winning. Fans will tune in to see a winning team regardless of the announcer. A good broadcaster can improve ratings a bit, but I don't believe that Benetti doubled the ratings.
