Also, LOL at Archie bringing up hypothetical violence if courts would have set aside legitimate election results when supporters of the losing candidate had an actual violent riot at the Capitol on 1/6.6 points

Talk about being a dick …. Why are you throwing around “un-American” labels? That’s the epitome of a dick move.3 points

Only thing you bring to the table is Trump this and Trump that so what does it matter? As far as anti-American, anyone who likes what the demented old man and his party are doing to this country can't be pro American. The US was in much better shape before they took office and I know that really gets under the skin of the Trump haters. I'm taking a break and have things to do so have a good day.2 points

Oh… do that’s the reason. Not that the claims were invalid. You didn’t move the goalposts you took them down.2 points

The ruling wasn’t about the law itself but rather the procedure. from the article: But Genetski did not allege that Benson's directive "caused him to accept a signature that he believed was invalid," according to Murray's decision. The judge didn't rule on whether Benson's directive violated state election law, but did say the directive violated the Administrative Procedures Act, the process that must be followed when an agency creates new rules.2 points

Yup. When the past reaches a certain distance, it seems there is always a tendency to idealize it into a realm of legend. In the Renaissance Europeans did it to the Greeks, who did leave some nice stuff behind but really didn't have all that great a society, in the Far East there were the legends of the "Yellow Emperor" that held everything in current civilization was but a failed effort to recapture the glories of the past. Now we are doing it with our own history. Mohammed's Muslim conquerors had this figured out - they might have been the 1st empire to practice historical 'cleansing' of the past in areas they won. And then today we have the irony of today's Muslim radicals idealizing and trying to recapture their own now ancient history. It's a good thing the human species has high sex drive because as a group we sure would never have survived based on our average intelligence.2 points

The lawsuits were thrown out because they were stupid. The election wasn't even very close and there is no evidence of widespread fraud that would have changed the election. It's just your guy being a big baby because he didn't win. Also, his lawyers are all idiots. With all his money (supposedly) and power, he should have had access to the best lawyers in the country and instead he surrounds himself with incompetent morons. Your guy is a complete charlatan and you guys just keep believing everything he says.1 point

Campbell was competitive in this game by continually making the risky move. I’m not sure what people expect out of this roster but the staff is making the most of it.1 point

everybody does cube sats. However, interestingly, and not that I make any kind of effort to actually track this stuff so I could be wrong, but my impression has been the UM College of Eng does more cooperative work with OSU than MSU. The Engineers at both schools sharing in common the universal nerd disdain for the jocks.1 point

It's about two things - eligible receivers and blocking. Since linemen are ineligible receivers, you don't want teams sending their centers five yards down the field to just distract the DBs and LBs from their assignments. It also prevents a team from having linemen streak down the field at the snap to block for a single intended receiver. Otherwise teams could just design plays where they have their #1 wideout run a slant, catching a ball five or ten yards downfield surrounded by a convoy of three offensive linemen who are at that point going against DBs instead of guys their own size. Scoring would go way up if linemen were given free range. These reasons are also why IDF is only a penalty if the pass actually happens, and if the pass crosses the line of scrimmage. On a screen pass behind the LOS, linemen can go downfield.1 point

“Claimed”. That’s not fact. People can claim lots of things. Yes the poll watchers were not allowed in because they were already an excessive amount of other poll watchers already in there. This bullshit was already hashed out as complete nonsense by the court system. This is the best you got? It’s weak. You and Rudy and the stripper, errrr Escort that was an election IT worker, errr, I mean an election screen glass wiper person, can go find an audience of gullibles because the courts said you all are full of shit and lawyers are in trouble over it. Pick better battles.1 point

There was initial concern around voting machines since there was an issue in a northern Michigan county that was resolved. Nothing was done about proving the mail in ballots. I'm really trying to understand the people here. Some of you claim to be Republicans that don't like Trump but from the comments I haven't seen there's not one Republican here let alone a real conservative. I would think you would be concerned about what is happening to the country today than some businessman from Florida that has absolutely no power today to do anything.. Are you unhappy that on January 19, 2021 the USA -Didn't have a big problem on the southern border? -The Country was safer because people were not allowed in from terrorist countries? -Inflation wasn't a problem? -We didn't have supply chain issues -The President's son wasn't selling art work to anonymous people around the world. The same son who took jobs he wasn't qualified for from foreign business because his father was VP. -There weren't Americans stranded in Afghanistan? -Our enemies feared us and we didn't bow down to China, Russia, Iran, etc. - The economy was booming and unemployment for all races of people were very low until a pandemic when major areas of the country were closed down?1 point

I would have completely agreed with this a year ago, but I’m gonna give them at least this year to prove that they have gotten smarter about roster management such that they can make actual sustainable gains beginning with next season. I don’t need them to make a “big splash” to win me over, but I do want them to prove out their born again philosophy, which has been remaking the front office, with the acquisition of first-division big league talent this year.1 point

I think the rioters and their organizers had been waiting for the opportunity to do something like that for a long time. He gave them permission. I am not absolving him of blame. He is 100% guilty. I just don't think he's the mastermind behind anything. He makes stuff up as he goes along. Whatever makes him look good or gives him some kind of advantage at the moment. Whatever it takes to sell his product (which is Donald Trump)1 point
