As a whole I respect the heck out of everyone here. The conversations we have don't happen much in the real world (At least for me). I poke Oblong and Chas but I know these guys are super intellegent and they have swayed alot of opinions I used to carry. I have moved from the right to medium right just by seeing these conversations unfold.

I would never cheer the death of another person, but it’s hard to feel sorry for someone that has all the tools to protect themselves and chooses not to. That’s a big difference, and I’m assuming the “liberals of this board” would all agree with that.

Interesting stuff

To be honest, as an introvert, I haven't minded playing the Covid card as an excuse to avoid large family gatherings, Holiday parties, work meetings, weddings, showers, asshole Trumper anti vaxxers, etc. It's also been great for my OCD germophobia. Not sure if I'll ever return from the dark side.

we've had a bunch of family gatherings. in the beginning we were concerned about it, but once the evidence got less convoluted we were ok meeting with family. since then we've had the granparents and great grandparents over many many times with no issues. everyone is vaxed and boosted now, i'm not worried at all.

The best thing Sheila can do is stand back and let Brad Holmes do his thing. Personally, I’m more concerned about Rod Wood and Chris Spielman getting in his way. We also can’t forget that Holmes didn’t hire Campbell. This isn’t a Quintricia situation. These two aren’t tied at the hip even thought they are acting like besties right now. Campbell has time but he’s the one getting cut first if this thing doesn’t show some promise in a few years.

I'm the youngest of 5, and counting spouses and children and grandchildren there are 25 people. We didn't meet last year, and we aren't meeting this year either. Haven't thought twice about it.

Annual* (except last year) extended family gathering is in Michigan this weekend. I'm flying up. About 70% of the attendees live in Michigan... I'd say about 15 adults and 5 kids under 3. We haven't thought twice about it. All the adults are vaccinated, and presumably boosted.

Hah!!! Now with Kingpin? Now I gotta remember which Vigilante series he was in, and which season... And I know he made it into more than one series/ season so... Wait... wasn't Vera Farmiga his love interest in his main vigilante series? Funny, at the start of this episode, just as Jack Duquesne was getting arrested I thought "OH, her mom is going to go bad...". I blazed through the different vigilante series and was ok with some of it but... it didn't sink in like the rest of the MCU...

Cudos to my family members who felt it was in our best interest in calling off a gathering this weekend. I think we are all vaccinated, but one of my sisters and sister in law made the call that it was just too dicey to have a bunch of people in a smallish house. TBH it is bittersweet since part of the gathering was to remember my youngest brother who passed away last month after a lengthy illness. But we'll still see him in our dreams....

I know there’s talk of QBs falling but this is QB league and teams can’t help themselves. I wouldn’t be shocked to see a name that’s far down the 1st round radar like a Willis or Pickett shoot up into the top 6. In fact I kind of expect it.
