  1. Not to get too personal, but I'm 33 years old and am just about recovered from a breakthrough case of COVID. Despite being in the presence of others while initially showing symptoms, including family members who are older than I, none of them yet has started showing symptoms or has tested positive. My wife, who I live with and don't really have the choice of isolating from, has tested negative throughout this whole thing. I can't say that it would have played out exactly this way had I (or others) not been vaccinated. I'm not 100% sure it would have been as mild, and I'm even less sure that I wouldn't have given it to others. That's my argument against Rogan's point right there... it isn't about me dingus, it's about everyone else in my life.

  4. Lottery, casinos, and now sports betting? What is the government going to legalize next? Prostitution? It's all about bringing in tax dollars from people who can't afford to lose/spend it. Talk to any mental health professional and they can give you case after case of the destruction of families over gambling. Even the socially accepted lottery.

  6. I'll never understand all the Blashill love from Red Wings fans. Amazing how someone who has failed at all aspects of his job still gets so much support. But, but, he has no talent. How many coaches that get fired are loaded with talent? As many good things as Yzerman has done, I just can't get on board with him keeping Blashill around for so long. Heard Yzerman on with Stoney the other day and he seemed unconcerned about the team and felt they are exactly where he expected them to be.

  7. A lot of Americans find it interesting that the Biden administration is more concerned about the Ukrainian border than the US border. I wish there was as much concern for our southern border.

  8. it absolutely does. Telling 21 year olds to not get vaccinated because the risk is "low" is like telling them to not wear seat belts. Yes the risk is small but it's also not zero. My wife has had patients in the hospital under 30. Healthy patients.

  9. Hronek looked like a really nice player his first 2 years. Hard to comprehend what’s gone on especially since Blashill is supposedly such a master with developing players.

  10. sort of. he'll be better - and smarter - than lyles. but what they really NEED is a rim runner who can catch lobs from cade and hayes. and that aint olynyk. he's a pick and pop guy. he'll help, but not as much as a a 7 foot guy with long arms who can jump. which isaiah stewart is not.

  15. Fire Blashill. It's time. I wasn't really thinking about it before this year during the reconstruction. But they are starting to bring up talented players that need better leadership than Blashill. I'm ready for that change now. I like the Larionov idea. Puck control and pinpoint passing. But we need better power play coaching and to your point, finishing checks rather than running away... Need some coaching for that too...

  16. that game against the bulls was infuriating. ayo comes down the court on a breakaway and lyles just reaches out to touch him. not grab him. not prevent him from scoring. not even go for the ball. he just touches him, giving ayo an easy and one. it so amazing i almost couldnt believe it. made me wonder if he had money on the bulls -14.

  18. Sounds simplistic but we won't have a deal until we have a deal. I expect movement once there's real risk on the season being affected. We had 2 consecutive seasons with either a low number of games or capacity restrictions. They'll want things to be normal and will work it out. There's no just need to move now.

  19. Even with TFG, Fauci was a trusted source. I have little doubt Dems would have gotten vaccinated with Fauci leading the way. Bleach injection treatments on the other hand...

  21. I don't know if more people would be vaxxed if Trump was in office. Dem supporters would be against it then. Harris and a few other dems started this when they said they weren't taking any vaccine that came from the Trump admin.

  23. You're right about a party that is actively working toward single party rule but where you're wrong is that is the democrats doing that. The democrats like everything slanted in their favor. They have debates where their candidates are helped by moderators or the candidates are given questions in advance. When Trump and Biden had interviews at the same time on different networks, Savanah Guthrie basically tried to get Trump in a street fight while George S. asked Biden what his favorite ice cream flavor was. Biden has a "town hall" on CNN and Anderson Cooper is helping him answer questions. Never would that happen to a Republican. Now we have the dems trying to change voting laws to favor them and change the senate rules so they can do as they please. Who would have thought the Joe Manchin and Kristen Sinema would be the two politicians that end up saving the democracy. I hope they stand firm on their word and the dem hit squad doesn't get to them.

  24. He's the reason John Amos left Good Times. He thought he was a sad caricature and not a good role model for black people. If you study comedians you know that at one time Jay Leno and David Letterman were living in Walker's apartment in the 70's writing jokes for him.....

  25. I firmly believe barring injuries that Hutch is going to atleast be a solid to good player in the NFL but I'm not convinced he is going to be a TJ Watt, Myles Garrett, prime Mack etc. type force as a pass rusher and for that reason I would love to trade down if possible. Now if the Lions feel he or Thibs has a strong chance of being one of those guys then they should stay put unless they get a Godfather type offer. You don't pass on potential game changing players like that just for an extra pick or two, even if those picks are early. They felt that way about Sewell and stood pat so I imagine if they feel that way about one of the guys in this draft they will do the same.

Joe is my cousin’s son ( so, a 1st cousin once removed) He was a fabulous player, now a fantastic young coach. And now will be back in Jersey. A great start to 2022 for my family
