I am interested to see how the experiments in SE Michigan with "electric" roads. Stretches of highway or city streets that will charge your vehicle. I think Ford is developing a project near the old train station and Michigan has entered into agreement with a firm doing something similar. Personally I think the media coverage for Judge is a great thing. For too long the PR side of baseball has been horrible. There aren't enough household baseball names, not like there was in the 90s and early 2000s. The whole steroid scandal has tarnished the game. Combine that with the not strike earlier this year and several fans have left. If they want to use Judge to try to bring back the fans, then I'm all for it. I embrace it if they want to invade other sports to show people what they are missing. More of it, I say.

Trade update after today's close. Still holding, making some money. Closed at $67.13, so we are up $396 since purchased.

I'm pretty skeptical about this one. It would require a level of attention to road surface maintenance that you just don't see in most places in the US, certainly not in the midwest with the constant freeze/thaw cycling. But in the end the drive toward this type of capability depends directly on how much battery tech development can improve charging times. If systems get down to 10-15 minute or so charge time, it won't be worth the capital to spend what would be needed to build and maintain 'charging roads.' If battery charging tech stagnates and can't make progress from the current situation, then maybe.

the game makes me sad that we lost, but i also think we're overreatcing just a bit. we lost a close game on the road where we were a td underdog. the vikings are not a bad team and the lions hung with them and should have won. and it wasnt a game they were behind all day and made a late push to make it close either, they were the better team for much of the day. that's progress. otoh, it should the warts on the team. they still dont have a significant pass rush other than bringing blitzes. the linebackers are still poor. they struggled to stop the run at times. they lost yet another important player to a season ending injury. the team is still young and growing. there are lots of teams that lost heartbreakers the last couple weeks, not just the lions. next week is pretty important.

Yeah not singling out MCS but too many people whether on here, twitter or the radio point out all the calls that didn't work to question Campbell's coaching but ignore the ones he make that end up putting them in the position to win to begin with. Our offfense wouldn't have scored as many points as it has if he wasn't as aggressive as he has been on 4th down.

well my 21 year old son was pissed last weekend when they cut into the college football game he was watching.

Achievable goals are good. Don’t lose 100 games. Don’t finish last place in the Central. Have a lower negative run differential than KC. On a cold December night I’ll snuggle in the icy air of my cold water flat with my teeth chattering and the memory of these achievements will keep me warm. It’ll be like that old Ambrose Bierce story where that guy thinks he’s on the gallows at owl creek bridge but actually it was a bad dream and he’s coming home to his loving wife.

why is a franchise record worth cutting into not only other national MLB games but football games? Frankly it's not national news. Great for Yankee fans to celebrate, I'm happy for them, but if Spencer Torkelson is sitting on 57 HR next year with 12 games left will they be doing the same thing and why not?

if we don't move on from guys like this, we might end up with the same roster. Haase, Reyes and the Castro boys could all be back as our bench (and hopefully nothing more than that). from a starting position standpoint, the opportunity to upgrade (assumes Tork and Greene are being counted on in 1B and CF and stuck with Miggy at DH), are at 2B, 3B, C and one of the corner outfield spots. If you bring back Candy and Schoop in a starting capacity, you are really only changing out C and one outfield spot. I'd be fine with going with Jake Rogers and Haase at C. Let's go get a real SS and LF. Move Baez to 2B and keep Schoop for UT (1B/2B/3B). bye bye, Candy.
