That was a very "Brand New Lions" type of game. I know the Bears are terrible but the SOL wouldn't have bounced back that quickly after a thrashing in a meaningful game. Now we root for the Jets or, gulp, Rams and let the chips falls where they may. Either way, the Lions are playing with house money. An 8 win season at minimum is a pretty big success in Year 2 of the rebuild.

last week the panthers were on a roll to the division title and the lions were the worst team of chokers in the league. this week the panthers are terrible and stupid for blowing draft position and the lions are one win from the playoffs. welcome to the nfl. its a week to week league.

I'm not pinning the loss on that, I doubt very many are. It was early on and a ton of stuff happened after, who knows how things would have played out. But it was terrible, infuriating call. It's like a great pitch that wasn't called for strike 3 with 2 outs, and the other team instead goes on to score 2 runs that inning. I think the biggest play of the game was DJ Turner's missed tackle on 3rd and 7 that went for 75 or so yards, just after Michigan had pulled to within 3.

I'm still numb from the Michigan game, but the Wings have exploded with 3 goals in first 3:13 of the 3rd period to take a 4-2 lead over the Senators.

That 4th and Goal from the 2 yard line play call at the beginning of the game was the dumbest in football this year. You don't design a play where the ball goes backwards on a 4th and short. They let 'em up for air there.

Speaking only for myself, I became a big fan of Alice Cooper in seventh grade, based only on hearing the songs on the radio. TV almost never played any hard rock back then, so there was no way I would have seen the schtick. Attempting to get a clean title on a vehicle we're trading in. When we bought the car in 2016, we only put my wife's name on the loan. We received a letter from Toyota in 2019 stating the loan was paid off. (I think we may have sent a copy to the SOS office in Lansing as well). Neither one of us remember getting a paper title from Michigan. In late Summer 2020 we registered the vehicle in Virginia, placed both names on the registration. Now to the trade in. Virginia still shows a lien on the title. The letter from the lender evidently means nothing because both names are not included in the release. Toyota says everything is done electronically now. Virginia can't clear it because their computers won't let them. No one can get thru to Lansing. I'm hoping something gets done this week (it's been over a month now). Last conversation with Toyota told us they were able to electronically clear the lien, but it takes 3 business days. That means at least one more trip to the DMV and probably another drive to the dealer to release the check we gave them as a promissory note. Meanwhile it looks like our trade-in may have been sold. It's all one big racket...
