As long as every locked door in every school bears a sign that says, "This locked door brought to you courtesy of your local 2A idiots" At least tell the damn truth about it.2 points

Also really surprised about Cesar Hernandez getting cut, but looking at his numbers, he really hit the skids down the stretch in Spring.... his performance may have precipitated going out and getting McKinstry, I dunno1 point

How about tonight we trade #6, a 2nd round pick, and a 2024 3rd round pick to Arizona for #3 and DHop, and then on draft day when one of Stroud or Young slips to #3, we trade #3 to Indianapolis for the 2nd and 3rd round picks back. Big Brain.1 point

A child’s right to attend school without the threat of gun violence will not be infringed upon. Oh wait, not only does that right not exist, it would technically be unconstitutional as it infringes on the rights of gun owners. What a country we live in.1 point

decent mock here, expect for one pick https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2023-nfl-mock-draft-three-qbs-first-three-picks-colts-christian-gonzalez 3. DETROIT LIONS (VIA ARI): QB ANTHONY RICHARDSON, FLORIDA Trade: Detroit sends Nos. 6, 48, 81, 2024 1st, 2024 4th; Arizona sends No. 31 point

This is precisely why I'd rather trade down than anything. See if the Rams or another team that may wanna go QB wants to move up because 3 of them are already off the board - Get a couple more picks later or next year.1 point

Kirby is far too biased. He has a vested interest in Carter getting drafted high. You will never get an honest answer out of him.1 point

I would be surprised if the Lions don’t use one of their 30 pre draft visits on Carter. Bring him to Allen Park and see if Jalen is able to alleviate the concerns face to face.1 point

Thank you for the welcome. I am not saying that Chark and Williams are one for one (as for what exact WR spot or body type) although I do think Williams has the ability to stretch the field. Like Gehringer said, its up to the coaching staff to come up with plays. My whole point is that I think we have put a good amount of resources into the WR spot (either with draft capital or salary) and I don't think using the 6 draft spot on a WR or spending a ton of the cap is the best move. I don't think the WR is one of those positions that you keep on putting the most capital into. Maybe I just have PTSD from the Lions past. Now I also understand that if you trade down or the 18 pick and you have a WR that is 5-10 spots ahead of your current pick and its a value pick based on BPA then that is an OK pick. I just don't think there is a Chase or Calvin in this draft that makes sense at 6. Or trading a top pick for a known WR that has a high salary or is going to cost a lot in the future. TCU WR would be nice but later in the draft.1 point

I understand that there is a concern with Chark leaving although isn't a good assumption that Williams takes his spot? Lets not forget that the Lions still had one of the best offenses when Chark wasn't playing. They definitely were better when he was healthy because he stretched the field. That is what you have to assume Williams will do. I understand that you want insurance because he hasn't shown anything yet but I don't think paying Chark or taking a WR at 6 is worth for insurance. Now 18 or later, I am good with. Also, there is also a possibility for a trade mid season or trade deadline if we need someone. I really like Johnson from TCU if there is a trade down or if he slips to 18, although 6 is too much for a team that hopefully got their guy in last years draft. My order of what we should do at 6 1. Anderson 2. Trade down 3. Carter (obviously with Holme's trust) 4. Wilson 5. Levis/Richardson 6. Murphy 7. Gonzalez/Witherspoon (whoever the Lions think is the best corner) Sorry, my first post and maybe this should be in the draft thread but there was talk with trading for a WR.1 point

The fact that they would pay him $15 million a year without a competent QB throwing to him — and then look to get rid of him when they get a pro bowl QB — says a lot about the shape the Broncos are in.1 point

If you want to increase the % of successful onside kicks just make the receiving team line-up further back on the field so the kicking team has a better chance of getting to the 10 yrd point just as quickly.1 point

this CBS one makes sense to me: 16 Q Johnston, dropping from 6 to 16, picking up a 3rd (#97) from Washington and their 1st next year 18 B Robinson1 point

jett howard goes pro. good riddance. im sure he'd be better next year, but i have convinced myself he was the problem last year. besides being an awful, awful useless player on defense, he was a selfish offensive player AND the coach's son. i have a feeling that dynamic ruined the vibes on the rest of the team and probably explains why dickinson and others seemed checked out for most of the season. if - big if - kobe and hunter come back, they should be ok. if not, hit the portal and hope the admissions office gets the stick out of their ass. they seemed to have done so for football.1 point
