  3. Clearly you aren't seeing the same things I am seeing. https://www.timesofisrael.com/us-democrats-lash-socialist-organization-for-backing-rally-supporting-hamas-attack/ https://www.thenation.com/article/society/bds-dsa-antisemitism-israel/ I would strongly argue that a lack of outrage over what happened on Oct 7 or to try to justify it amounts to antisemitism. Just because it's not the same words as those on the right make it's still antisemtism. Think of it as being anti black because you think they are inferior to whites or being anti black just by suggesting they have their own schools and bathrooms and such and such.... both schools of thought are wrong. Anti semtiism can have more than one definition.

  4. The many instances of colleges and universities releasing wishy-washy statements in the aftermath of the initial attacks, given how zealous many of these same institutions ordinarily are to issue statements on any number of other outrages, is pretty telling as well.

  5. A giant among men and one of my favorites. I have a helmet, bat and ball with his signature and a picture of him leading the clubhouse celebration after the 1972 division championship clincher with his and many other's signature. What a dandy platoon with the Gator for Billy Martin.

  6. He killed my FF team. He got 5.6 points. Tyson Bagent (Bears) got over 11 points. And my opponent had Lamb (Dallas). 41 stinking points!!

  7. That's interesting. I think it was the switch to zone that helped us against KC in the first game - but that doesn't mean it will work all the time. Wonder if AG is trying to cover for some injuries & not put his DBs on an island?

  8. But what does that have to do with treatment of Jews who are not in Israel and have nothing to do with what the government does there? If someone's targeting Jews in a university, and many other places, who are not in Israel and not part of the government then I will call that antisemitism. Not everyone at a Trump rally are racists and confederates but when you see some of the flags and T shirts and slogans mixed in.... I see no difference here with regard to Israel and Jews.

  9. Duren is a better defender than Drummond ever was and Duren absolutely has skills, did you not see those passes in the 1st quarter? That's not something that most bigs can do. Duren is also far more athletic than Drummond, he has Dwight Howard/Shawn Kemp level athleticism. Drummond can't compare to that.

  10. and it's disappointing to see it so prominent on the left. This is not a right wing thing. Sure there's extreme right wing anti semites but I don't think the increase we've seen the last 2 weeks is due to them. It's the college crazies.

  11. ok sam... duren is a lot less lumbering than andre was and has a much different body type. i also think he's more athletic than drummond and in much better shape. but if the question is what type of player he is now, i guess drummond is a comp. duren is a rim runner who can't shoot like drummond was and should have been before he got ahead of himself and thought he was patrick ewing. i think duren can be better than that because he looks more coordinated than drummond ever was.

  15. I’ve said this before but I wouldn’t mind if this were done later in extras like the 11th or 12th. At that point I think both clubs just want to move on. You burn thru pitchers and it affects the upcoming games. Starting pitchers are brought out, position players… it gets silly. I mean with the pitch clock proving to reduce games by a significant number it’s now ok to play real baseball for 2 or 3 more innings. Then you can introduce gimmicks to just get it over with. But even doing that I don’t think is required. Let the clubs employ an emergency starting pitcher that isn’t active but can be used after inning 10. You can rotate it every few games. Let a AAA pitcher come up for 2 or 3 games to live the good life. No service time accrual unless they pitch but they get a ML salary. Then he can go back for his regular start and another comes up. You can figure out a rotation within their existing workload. Hockey has a similar setup with goalies. There’s always one on standby in case goalie #2 gets hurt. It’s usually some beer league guy. A few years ago in Toronto one of them came in and the team came back to win.

  20. Grayson Rodriguez is a good example for pushing Jobe to the majors as fast as possible. If you are dominating in the minors you keep pushing until they fail. If they struggle in the majors you can send them back down, just like with Grayson. And Grayson overall had a very promising year in the majors.

  21. For a long time it was on TBS all afternoon and on Nick every night for a few hours. My wife always had it on and I work from home so it was prominent. Recently they moved it to the morning. It is a comfort show for sure. Some of the jokes don’t hold up, gay ones in particular but otherwise I find myself laughing quite a bit. More so than its original run. They kept some of the sets and it’s been touring. We went in July. IMG_2863.heic IMG_2841.heic IMG_2839.heic

  22. I absolutely loved Killers of the Flower Moon. It was humane and inhumane, quiet and violent, and long and short. I was riveted to my seat the entire 3 hours and 26 minutes, and it was so well edited, that it was easy to take in every minute. This might have been DeNiro's best work ever. He was Max Cady and Don Corleone at the same time. Lily Gladstone was excellent, and Scorsese was great as well. This is among the best movies I have ever seen.

  24. Speaking of playmakers, the fact that Holmes ignored addressing the DLine and secondary in the 1st round and instead chased shiny toys is REALLY starting to stick out right now, especially given how bad this defense was last year. He also would’ve been better off keeping Swift, and maybe even Okudah - who he pretty much gave away for nothing. Thank god CJGJ and Moseley were only 1-year deals
