I was listening to Eno's podcast yesterday and he mentioned Severino is the guy in the free agent pool whose underlying stuff pops as a sleeper. He is pretty good at sifting through pitchers.

He dumped a lot of resources into the least important position. Plenty of centers get productive minutes in the regular season and can't get on the court come playoff time. Hopefully Duren can develop a skillset that allows him to stay on the floor in the playoffs. I guess we don't need to worry about the playoffs much around here.

The Lions should be the ones that come out swinging with being at home on Thanksgiving following arguably their worst performance of the Campbell era. Add in that the Packers have a lot of injuries and I'd be disappointed and a bit concerned if this wasn't a double digit victory.

I think the Tigers need to try to build a contending team every off-season from now on. That doesn't mean they should sign players to stupid deals, but their goal should be to have a contending team every year. No more silly seven-year plans.

Yeah everybody complains about Glenn and I get it it's frustrating when you see teams carve you up and it's easier to blame the DC but considering the injuries and just overall talent level on the defense I don't think they have been THAT bad and I think you'd be hard pressed to find a DC that would be much better. I mean look at who Glenn has to work with, Hutch is a beast but even he isn't a Myles Garrett type outside of him you have McNeil who would start on most teams but that would prob be it on the d line. Anzalone has been solid this year but that has been offset by Campbell being one of the worst LBs in the league, hopefully that is just due to being a rookie. In the secondary you have Sutton who is good but again it's not like he is a bonafide number 1, if he was we wouldn't have gotten him for what we paid. I love Branch but like Campbell he is still a rookie and prone to some lapses not to mention him probably not being 100%. Add it all up and I just think it's unfair to expect that good of defense with the players they have. Maybe you can argue they should blitz more but then you have guys like Jacobs being left on an island.

Nah you want the 1 seed especially in the Lions case, you want home field throughout and you get the only 1st round bye with the 1 seed. You're going to have face the best competition eventually whether it's as a 1 or 2 seed.

I didn’t even bother doing MLB TV the last two seasons because I couldn’t get it to sync the radio audio with the TV audio to drown out Shep. Having Dan doing TV 35 games a year is a real plus too.
