Since we’re doing the whole escalation and exaggeration thing, this strikes me as a “suicide by cop” effort, forumwise.

They may be true "believers" but it doesn't mean that they have Christian values which is dangerous.

This is what my previous post was about. I don't think most of these congresspeople give a **** about religion, but they'll pretend to be religious to get votes, maintain power and pick your pocket or someone's picket.

I would also state that... Holmes has the ability to identify exceptional, or at least positive contributing talent, or the possibility of such. In almost every round. So yes, he's not going to bat 1.000. There's NO GM who does. But I'll take my chances with his ability to identify talent.

again - there is no such single entity. There are many churches - many of them don't regard science as a subject of theological concern at all so they have no need or interest taking 'official' positions to accept or deny any of it. If you have a particular church with a particular doctrinal stance in mind, you should say who you are talking about if you care to be accurate.

On a related note, the US high energy physics folks are in the midst of some kind of periodic review of what they want to ask the Feds to fund and the hot item on the wish list now is a Muon collider that will get to 100 TeV. I could only laugh at the quote by one of the lead guys when he said that this kind of work was important because we all need/want to know *why* we are here (emphasis mine of course). Guess again fella.

Thanks for pointing this out. Everything I had read on it had made it seem like it happened this week. Makes it feel like someone in Buffalo would be pretty okay seeing him get canned. You don't sit on this for four years without some type of ulterior agenda at play.

Just when I feel like I notice Kane's skating doesn't look fantastic, he gets in on an offensive break because he read the play well enough to get out ahead of it. I really hope that hip holds up over an extended period of play this season.

Cade would never drive if he stopped driving into 2-3 defenders. The question is. Why are opposing teams able to keep an extra defender or two in the paint area without being punished.

Here is my thing with Weaver. I think he has drafted half way decent. Cade and Ivey have talent. I hate the position he plays, but Duren has talent and it was a nice move to land him. Even if he never gets a jump shot, Thompson will contribute just based on his elite defense/rebounding. Weaver has done a terrible job at filling in the roster with free agency and trades. Bojan was a decent move, but he even has some big flaws. But lets just concede him being a nice move. Name another player on this roster who contributes that Weaver brought in via trade or free agency. I realize Stewart could technically be called a trade. But IMO if you trade for a guy before he plays his first NBA game, you drafted him.

That is why I always go back to Athiesm is a type of religion based on "Theory". They have "faith" that someday sceince will prove it to be fact. Show me anywhere in science that nothing created something.
