  1. It doesn't confirm that at all. He knows the investigation is over because he's not an independent counsel like Kenneth Starr was. They don't have those anymore.

  2. and doing it with the worst defensive coordinator in the history of the NFL!

  3. It's a non sequitur because if he had, he would not have been the Obama people voted for, and so that person you describe would have been someone else. You simply can't posit that X would have done Y when it's clear X would never have done Y. It's a meaningless comparison.

  4. To be honest, with something like this, the officials would have probably tried to prevent it from becoming an issue by making sure Campbell knew.

  5. I hope...sincerely that the Lions were holding back stuff for Thursday because i really want them to break the Bears.

  8. SMH it's called a THOUGHT EXERCISE. Yes if Mother Theresa robbed a bank I'd be in favor of criminal charges being brought against her. Its not so hard.

  10. Thats a cop out. Of course he wouldn't have because he's not a criminal, but it's called a thought exercise. Of course Holic liked your post because it allows him a lazy way out of answering the question without coming off as either a hypocrite or a liar. I can actually perform the thought exercise without having to go to incredible lengths of cognitive dissonance because I'm not a hypocrite or cultist.

  11. Ah, okay... then yeah, I totally agreed with you in the moment too. He was definitely in bounds so if they were going to flag him for a late hit it would have been a crap call. But flagged for leading with his helmet was the right call.

  12. I consider Parker Meadows to be the Tigers non-pitcher MVP in 2024. The turnaround started when he returned as a difference maker. Heck, he saved at least 2 games with his glove alone, but he was a different player when he came back for good in August.

  13. Could use a win in this one after a rough week of losses. Also, I'm starting to figure out who Holland reminds me of - Josh Jackson. From his lack of shooting (but still not afraid to hoist them) to his feisty attitude. Josh was still that same player in year 4...hopefully Holland won't be.

  14. In the four games before Dallas, the Lions gave up an average of 20.5 points per game. In the six games after Dallas, the Lions have given up an average of 15.3 points per game.

  15. This is the first time ever the Lions have had back-to-back double-digit win seasons.

  16. The Lions could mathematically clinch a playoff spot by next Sunday, with 5 games to spare! They just have to beat Chicago and have a few other results this week. Of course practically speaking they are almost certainly already in, even if they were to sit out their final 6 games and finish 10-7.

  17. The Lions are playing at a historically high level, this is '07 Pats level dominance with lots of key injuries on the defensive side. The Lions were the worst franchise in the league just 3 years ago, it's insane the turnaround these guys have engineered in such a short timespan relatively speaking.

  18. It's funny how the Rams have turned into the Stafford era Lions. A flawed team but have the potential to win 9 or so games and lose in the 1st round of the playoffs.

  19. Lions haven't given up a TD in 2.5 games and haven't allowed any points in the 2nd half of the past 3 games.

  20. A year ago, the 8-2 Lions hosted the 4-6 Packers on Thanksgiving Day. They were 7.5-point favorites, playing a first year starter in Jordan Love, who played out of his mind en route to a 29-22 Lions loss. Thursday, the 10-1 Lions will host the 4-7 Bears on Thanksgiving Day as 10.5-point favorites, playing a first year starter in Caleb Williams. Let's not allow history to repeat itself, please.

  21. I will try to keep this short and not nerd out. Bitcoin the coin has no value IMO and this goes for any crypto coin. I believe the value is the blockchain technology that the coins are built on. This is mostly theoretical right now and not a lot of real world use. I also imagine by time we do start to see mainstream uses that it will look very different than it does now. Par for the course when it comes to emerging technologies. We are coming up on 20 million coins mined for Bitcoin and 21 million is the cap. This doesn't matter honestly since if any coin ever comes close to being used by the mainstream, it will not be Bitcoin. There are newer coins with better tech behind it that would be much easier to use. A good example, Bitcoin doesn't have smart contracts. Most feel Ethereum would be the one to go mainstream as a viable coin if any ever did. Anyone can read the blockchain. That is part of the appeal. There are websites that let you read it. https://blockstream.info/

  22. Crypto would be normally the kind of thing to set off the rapture/ of the world/Jesus is coming back folks. They talk about mark of the beast and all of that. It fits right in. But since those folks have a new cult leader surrounded by Crypto Bros I guess it’s ok. They will go back to JFK Jr is alive stuff.

  23. Sure, it's good to know what others are thinking, but hearing Trump and Musk mock people and parrot conspiracy theories doesn't help me learn anything especially when I originally joined Twitter to get baseball news.

  24. It's amazing we're to the point with this team where a 3 score game on the road against a near .500 team only feels like a "meh" win.

  25. That's pretty disrespectful to Kirk Cousins. I think Richardson is what I imagine Trey Lance would look like if the team that drafted him insisted on actually starting him after they realized their mistake.

  29. Today's players are so much better than the past. Stronger, faster and most importantly, more finely tuned. In the past, pitchers could ease up with off speed stuff, keeping hitters off balance and giving themselves a break. Today the off speed stuff has a focus on optimizing spin and that too is taxing on the arm. No break.

  30. It's his 2nd on-field fine this season. The other one was when he dunked the ball over the goal post in a Megatron tribute. It's pocket change for the kid, he makes more money than he knows what to do with. I really don't like his antics, the kid will eventually hurt himself. He really needs to grow up.

  31. Screwball, every woman has that concern, regardless if there are ex-cons or felons. It’s oftentimes the cute guy next door that can be just as frightening. it’s any dark corridor. It’s any deserted parking lot or street. It’s an empty elevator or stairwell. All demand caution, but again, it’s in no way warranted to equate a trans person in a bathroom with a sexual predator in a bathroom. It’s just not.

  33. If you say you're afraid of Sarah McBride because of an assault in high school, but not of actual men like Matt Gaetz who preys on teen girls, Brett Kavanaugh, who sexually assaulted a teenager in high school or Donald Trump who publicly stated he likes to leer at naked young girls, sit down and shut the **** up. Not only is at insult to sexual assault victims to use her experience for a political stunt, but she's putting actual vulnerable human beings who are already at high risk for attacks even more at risk. Deplorable.

  36. The Drummond comps with Duren are so real. He is a great rebounder if he can use his athleticism to do the job. The second he goes up against another player who hustles for rebounds, he is cooked.
