The Nick Offerman episode is based on a tiny fragment inferred from a note as I recall from when I watched my son play the game years ago, and that episode expanded upon it. They fleshed it out brilliantly. The use of the Linda Ronstadt song gives me chills, and it’s kind of personal. I spent my early 20s to mid 30s in Tucson and Linda had grown up there with her family owning the major hardware store downtown and everybody in the city was in love with her. We all have memories of attending things like wakes for friends that had passed and her recorded music was played at them and it was usually particular relevant to the friend that had walked out of life, often tragically, far too soon. When you go to a wake for a friend and you’re in your 20s your friend died in their 20s and it’s a really sad thing. Really bittersweet memories. Everyone who lived in Tucson back then has a special Linda Ronstadt memory. She was America’s sweetheart.
