Took a walk during the day down Boise‘s historic Harrison Boulevard, which goes all out for Halloween. There’s a thousand people at night on the street and when the lights are on, it’s a much bigger deal but these photos will give you an idea of the creativity and the sense of competition that goes on to come up with neat stuff. I rezzed the photos down from 4MB each to 1MB so they’re not as nice as the original but you get an idea. it’s pretty incredible to go trick-or-treating at night with four kids like I used to, but there’s really long lines and if you go a couple blocks away, people will give you two fistfuls of candy because they get less traffic and they want to get rid of it.3 points

Well, a surprise in the sense that he signed a 3 year extension just last offseason. Hopefully he lets management know early in the offseason so they can plan accordingly if he does indeed decide to call it quits. I think drafting a tackle high should be a priority regardless of Decker's intentions like when they took Ratledge before knowing, to our knowledge, that Ragnow was retiring.1 point

Staring a marriage bankrupt from the ceremony probably leads to a poor prognosis.....🫤 (average cost of US wedding now exceeds $30K as per any number of sources)1 point

It's also fair to note that Biden got flac from the right on the basis that some of his hugs were not considered proper form. So, goose, gander and all that. 🦆🦆1 point

Will we be seeing this sort of thing in the Trump Memorial Ballroom in the not to distant future? Or maybe the Trump (er) Kennedy Center. It’s his kind of entertainment1 point

Remember they threw Madison Cawthorn out of the club for spilling the tea about the sex stuff. Nancy Mace caught on camera being a perv is now in full-holier-than-thou mode. Trump is a dangerous sex pest who has multiple credible reports about abuse of women. Republicans politicians prey on the obedient so they can be deviant.1 point

We've lived in the same house through a couple of generations now, and even when our kids (echo generation) were young we never got more than half a dozen ToTers - mostly since we live on a short block, the same amount walking around the other side nets you more houses. We've had decades where the average was maybe 3 kids. So we know the neighborhood has turned over again, but tonight was like nothing we'd ever seen here, about 3 dozen kids. That's not much by normal standards but it was off the charts for us. The best one was an inflatable "Kenny". I told him him to stay alive and he laughed and my wife looked at me with no clue. 😱1 point

Watching Tigers Territory today. They said early Vegas pennant odds have Detroit 8th in the AL. Maybe they expect Skubal gone, or more likely, they see the holes on the team. Probably factoring in both. They stressed that it shows Det needs to take steps this off-season to improve. Also has me pondering throwing small wager on Detroit now.1 point

I love this response. The way he reframes and answers the question. More reps need to do this1 point

Per Harris: “I hope that I've demonstrated here that we're focused on winning baseball games and trying to win a World Series, not winters or deadlines,” Harris said earlier this month. “Sometimes that means that we're going to go into a winter and we're going to chase the flashiest name, and we're going to offer a lot of money. And sometimes that means we're going to go into a winter and focus on more targeted needs. I don't know exactly what this winter is going to be.” I don’t think I actually believe he’s uncertain about what he wants to do except for the goal of winning the World Series. But of course he’s not going to be open about it.1 point

I loved the Heinz museum. I wasn't planning on going, but I happened to be staying at the hotel across the street. It is a really nice city in general. It was a pleasant surprise.1 point

I am still not completely convinced about Keith. He is trending in the right direction, but he faced mostly right handers this year and is not a strong fielder so far.1 point

Benetti is a good play by play man. He is intelligent and sometimes humorous, but I think he over does the pop culture stuff for my tastes. He is better with a straight man like Petry than Dirks who pushes him even further onto a tangent. I do think Benetti is better than anyone they've had on TV for a long time. Benetti/Petry and Dickerson/Dirks are their best combos.1 point

Noted. Point being, I don’t buy the idea that journalism is cooked as a concept and the MSM news merely engages in leftist diatribe the same way Fox engages in right wing diatribe. If you find any instances of that, please share it, because I don’t see it. And again, MSNBC and op-eds don’t count.0 points
