  1. LSU may very well come back and dominate this game but it's funny to me how the SEC always gets a free pass, currently they are about to be trailing a 4-7 A&M team late in the 2nd quarter, lets say for argument sake they end up coming back and winning a close one I'd be willing to bet they won't get docked like a team from another conference would for struggling to beat a 4 win team.
  2. If we had zero holes I'd be willing to take a chance in the top 5 on Young, Stroud or Levis but since we don't I just don't have enough faith in them to take them over other needs but with that said I would love to have another team fall in love with one of them and trade up for our spot, kinda like the deal Philly got from a SF for Lance.
  3. If this was his first ever coaching job I could understand questioning him losing big games but you don't go to the Rose Bowl with Stanford, go the multiple NFC Championship games and the Super Bowl if you always lose any game of significance. That's what I never got from haters, he took us to 2 OTs in Columbus his 2nd year where if the spot went different we would've won, he had us beating a then top 10 MSU team where if we didn't blow a punt we would've won if those fluke plays didn't happen and we won does that suddenly mean he's a better football coach? Going by the haters logic of him not winning "big games" it did.
  4. I'll give the naysayers a free pass on JJ since he never proved anything but I'll never get over the Harbaugh hate, he's one of the best 5 football coaches in the world and has proved it over and over again yet because he lost a few times with vastly inferior players suddenly people didn't think he was a good coach. Never understood it.
  5. Yeah Michigan played a crappy schedule but according to many advanced metrics PSU is a top 7 or 8 team and OSU is of course a top 3 teams by a combined 86-40 and 52-6 in the 2nd half. I don't know if I'd put them 1 but I think because of those 2 results they are atleast worthy of it.
  6. Definitely not but to think that at one point Michigan had the greatest QB to ever live in Brady and one of the 5 best college QB prospects ever or atleast in recent memory in Henson. That last point may seem hyperbole but if you go back in time and read what scouts had to say about him it is true. In honor of Michigan winning in Columbus for the first time in 22 years I'll show the last time they won and it was with Henson at the helm. Look at the throw at the 8:08 mark, Jesus there aren't 3 QBs in the NFL now that could make that throw as difficult as that look that effortlessly. Threw it 40 yards downfield from the opposite hashmark to the other sideline on a freaking string effortlessly, probably covered near 60 yards on that throw and did it with a flick of the wrist.
  7. Excellent points. The narrative will be that the UM line just enforced their will on OSU in the 2nd half and while that may be true to some extent I'd give more credit to the fact that OSU forced JJ to beat them, once he showed he could suddenly they couldn't be so aggressive on defense which helped open up the run game. And yeah even though those calls should have been called you are right that they weren't THAT egregious where if they weren't thrown the refs would've been crucified for. They could've easily not thrown them and just said that the balls weren't catchable or something but they had the guts to throw the flags in a hostile environment.
  8. I wouldn't call it a low release but to my untrained eye it seems like it was lower than it was say 2 years ago, like when he was the hot shot HS prospect it looked alot like Kevin Durant, now without the benefit of slo mo it looks like he is releasing it lower. I'd have to see a side by side slo mo though to be sure but either way despite his relatively short arms even if the release is a little low it's not like he is 6'2 or 6'3, at his height it should still be effective enough.
  9. Since I have to be a Debbie Downer the bad thing about us blowing it open in the 2nd half along with Clemson's loss is that this now opens the door for a 2 loss Alabama team to sneak into the playoffs. Still a long shot but if USC loses to ND it is a real possibility.
  10. Can't make any excuses about the weather this year either! BTW shout out to Michigan's DBs there may have been a play or two here and there but not counting when they were in total prevent defense they didn't let those great OSU WRs run free, it took great throws by Stroud for them to get any completions.
  11. Michigan is so lucky to have Jim Harbaugh, one of the 3-5 best football coaches in the world. If I was an NFL team I'd give him a blank check to come coach my team.
  12. To think JJ and Edwards still have year(s) of eligibility left!
  13. I was about to say I don't know if it's wise to keep giving it to Edwards with his one hand to protect the lead but I guess right there is why you do!
  14. Again if we were up 14 and that FG made it 17 then sure but there isn't a ton of difference between being up 11 or 14.
  15. Didn't get enough time to type it but I do not agree with that FG attempt at all, if it was to make it a 3 possession lead sure but even if he made it it was still 2 possessions. The reward wasn't worth the risk. Either go for it or preferably punt it away.
  16. Yeah I'm sure being forced to take that timeout there due to incompetent officiating isn't going to come back to haunt them.
  17. Great play design there after the JJ keeper! Perfect time to call that one up.
  18. I don't understand the safety blitz when he's 15 yards from the LOS at the snap, even if he comes through untouched he'd have to be Usain Bolt to get to the QB.
  19. haha great time for JJ to finally throw an accurate deep ball!
  20. If Lance didn't get hurt I think the 49ers were going to try to do something similar with him and Jimmy G this year. Kinda related but I'll never forget back when UM had Brady and Henson one time Brady acted like he was injured so they could bring in the more mobile Henson to run some sorta QB reverse. Of course Brady was completely fine and came in the next play but him acting like he was hurt made it so the trick play with the more athletic QB wasn't completely telegraphed.
  21. Stafford was 52% and 55% respectively his first 2 seasons in college before jumping to 61% his junior year, this is essentially Richardson's first full year at QB so you're banking on him progressing with more experience. Again though he is a risk and is definitely raw but his upside is as high as any QB in the draft, definitely a player that you have to trust what your scouts see and project in him if you're going to take him before the 3rd round.
  22. I'm not real privy to football analytics because most sites are behind a paywall but yeah I'm sure there are stats out there that are more telling of a QBs real accuracy than completion percentage and probably what teams put more stock in than that.
  23. That's why there is risk there, completion percentage definitely leaves alot to be desired but he throws a pretty ball, real tight spiral and is uber athletic. You're banking on his accuracy improving in the NFL with better players around him and better schemes to give the receivers more space. At Florida he has been undermanned compared to many of the SEC monsters so perhaps that has hurt his accuracy? I really don't know but IF you take him in the 1st or 2nd you're trusting your scouts and banking on his game translating better in the NFL.
