Higginson used to hangout in Royal Oak alot back when I was in my 20s and would frequent the bar scene so I've talked to him a few times. I remember one time we were shooting pool with him and it was in the middle of the 06 season, me and one of my friends said something to the effect of "does it bother you that the Tigers just so happened to be good right after you leave them?" and he responded with "I made 50 million dollars off them so I can't complain." lol atleast he was honest.
But what was the kicker was a little bit later he says to me and one of my friends "You guys wanna shot?" so we go up to the bar and take a shot and he proceeds to only pay for his. At the time those Miller Lite "man card" commercials were popular so my friend was like "You ask us if we wanna shot and then you don't pay for it? Your man card is revoked." He got all pissy after that.
I'm surprised no other team tried to top that, I guess there just aren't many teams that either aren't set at QB, have a young QB that they like or in the case of a team like the Seahawks are content tanking next year and getting their QB in the draft.
42 out of Miguel's last 43 hits have been singles, he has one extra base hit since May 22nd. Totally living up to the Singuel moniker, With that said I still advocate him for the ASG.
Singuel comes through with a 2 run single to give the Tigers a 5-2 lead. BTW terrible job by the ump/catcher/Schoop not getting Miggy's bat out of the way, I think it was Baez that almost dove right on it.
Al: We went ahead and fixed the glitch
Chris: So Rodriguez has been let go?
Al: Just a second there professor, we "fixed the glitch" so he won't be getting a paycheck anymore so it'll just work it's self out naturally
Hinch: We always want to avoid confrontation when all possible, problem is solved on your end!

Pipeline updated top 100 and Riley is number 1! Of course he's going to exhaust his prospect status shortly but still it's got to be the first time in forever that the Tigers had the number 1 ranked prospect on any of these type of lists. BTW the only other Tiger to make the list is Jobe at number 26.
Riley Greene takes an 0-2 pitch the other way for a leadoff single. Yeah it takes some babip luck to find a hole like that but just a beautiful swing and not to sound cliche but when you actually put the ball in play instead of whiffing good things can happen.
Between interleague play, players switching teams so much and just the overall ease you can access baseball games/highlights takes away the novelty of it. It was before my time but I'd imagine it was a huge deal prior to all of this when you may only get to see certain players from the other league during that game or if they made World Series.
Love taking 3 straight from the Guardians, yeah it helps the Twins but I think I've grown to hate Cleveland even more at the moment since they've kicked our ass so much the past several years.
It's kinda hard to really gauge Chet in these games cause the biggest question mark against him is how he will handle the physical play of the NBA and playing against older more physically imposing players, considering most summer league guys are essentially college kids it really doesn't tell you anything in that regard.
Watched the 1st quarter of the OKC game and I thought they were fun to watch. Don't want to put a ton of stock on just 1 quarter of a summer league game but OKC could rank pretty high this year on anybody's "League Pass ranking".
Haase just misses another oppo HR but will have to settle for a double. It's amazing what a guy like Riley at the top of order and getting some slugging from somebody in the middle of the order can do for an offense.
