  1. Royals lose to the Reds and Guardians down 2-0 early to the Dodgers with Yamamoto on the mound.
  2. One thing Pitt doe deserve credit for in regards to Skenes is not making him toil away in the minors for a year or so in the name of "development" like some teams do just to manipulate service time. Of course if you plan on trading him before he gets expensive I suppose that doesn't really matter all that much.
  3. I want to see Pacheco at Erie before I get too excited about him cause I believe this is his 3rd straight year at WM. When you are on your 3rd year at the same level I would hope you start hitting there.
  4. The Tigers haven't scored more than 5 runs in 9 games, they were averaging over that on the season prior to this stretch.
  5. When Brenan Hanifee is the guy you bring out for the 10th you know you have problems.
  6. Kahnle is basically a knuckleball pitcher except it's with a "changeup".
  7. He actually has well below average swing length, 57th shortest out of 230 players and has the 3rd shortest on the Tigers.
  8. Yet another hit on an 0-2 count.
  9. Again a Tigers pitcher gets up 0-2 only to give up a walk. Now 2 on with Ramirez at the plate.
  10. Not a terrible pitch but yet another time at Tigers pitcher gets ahead of the count but just can't put the guy away with 2 strikes. Been happening alot all series.
  11. Vierling in Center with Carpenter playing in the field scares me, particularly in spacious Comerica Park.
  12. Rainer just homered off a 97mph fastball from a lefty. Great sign!
  13. I wanted Hinch to hit Greene for Torres in the bottom of the 7th when we had the tying run in scoring position. With a righty on the mound I felt like that was the key spot in the game and time to use Greene as a pinch hitter. Even if Greene failed, with 2 innings left there would have been a relatively good chance that he got to hit again so you could've gotten him 2 at bats in potential high leverage spots instead of just 1 when he hit him where he did.
  14. The one in question was Randy Wolf, I of course had to look it up and yeah it was easy to forget about him since he was here in September of 2015. Considering that was our first selloff year and terrible year in general in about a decade I think most of us Tigers fans were checked out. I do vaguely remember going to a game he started though.
  15. I know he only has 1 championship thus far but should Rick Carlisle rank among the best coaches of all time?
  16. Kwan, Ramirez and Santana have a career OPS of a billion against us. I haven't fact checked it but I believe it to be accurate.
  17. Good news, Nido cleared waivers and has been outrighted to Toledo. Thought we were for sure gonna lose him.
  18. Skenes very well maybe worth that much to some team or somebody but not to me he isn't and that's not a slight on him it's just the nature of pitchers and the way the game is trending. If we were completely loaded with great young up the middle players on our roster I'd probably consider it but with all due respect to Sweeney and Meadows I just don't think we are.
  19. Just read one of the legit most unbelievable random stats/tidbits I've heard in awhile and that is with SGA's MVP this now makes 9 straight seasons where the MVP didn't have a tattoo. Cade doesn't have any tattoos does he? If not maybe he can make it 10 straight next season!
  20. I know it's a cold night and that could help explain it but still can't say I like seeing Flaherty's fastball sit at 90 and 91MPH. Doesn't seem like a good sign.
  21. Giants put Verlander on the DL so no chance of him pitching in Comerica next week. It's been almost 8 yrs since he left and I don't think he has pitched here but maybe once or twice.
  22. Funny how there were strong rumors and beliefs that Hutch was gonna play in the SB if we made it and here we are in the end of May and he is just getting cleared for football activities.
  23. I still remember when I was maybe 6 or 7 yrs old my Dad waking me up in the morning and saying "Do you know what today is? It's the All Star Game!" It was a big deal to me but for him and probably his generation it was even bigger. BTW the game in question was the game where Bo Jackson led off the game with a HR. He was one of my favorites at the time so that was a cool thing for me.
