  1. There’s a better chance of Javy holding off on a 2 strike slider down and away than of you getting a real response.
  2. Such political bs. The words come out of his mouth so easily now, I wonder what would’ve happened had he and the rest said the same thing to voters leading up to the election.
  3. If this were a football game. ESPN would have a 100% probability on it.
  4. Anyone have an idea on how reliant DTE is on energy from Ontario?
  5. Silly these elected representatives are allowed to waste congressional time and effort on ridiculous **** like this. Too bad there isn’t some type of agency that cracks down on on government officials who carelessly bloat and take advantage of their federal job
  6. Tariffs are just another grift. He wants to tank the markets for a short time so he and the crew can resupply at a low price. It will all rebound back up whenever Trump decides to remove the tariffs for yet another huge profit.
  7. This could’ve gone in any of these threads but this is cult behavior. These are so ridiculous that I had to click the links to see if it was a rickroll. Sadly, it’s not.
  8. Cmon Joni, not that kind of caucus!
  9. It looks like most of today’s financial news is best suited for the political forum.
  10. Not sure we covered Trump’s weekend Crypto grift. He will definitely be doing it again. Shortly after this posting, all 3 of these coins shot up. SOL nearly doubled and the others around 30%. $350B got added to the Crypto market in a day. In a true grift, 90% of the gains got sold off by today in a massive rug pull. They are all near their price on Saturday before his announcement. The best part is that the two biggest coins in BTC and ETH were surprisingly not included in this announcement. No worry, that con will come at some point when he decides and sets up his friends and family ahead of time before he posts. They should profit handsomely.
  11. More commitment to forechecking will go a long way to improving their 5v5. They have seen first hand how teams can become tough to play when you’re fighting just to get the puck past the red line.
  12. I think it’s adding a simple comment of “best suited for the political forum” into the post instead of political commentary. Everyone will know what that means and one can post more details if they choose in that other forum.
  13. They need to focus on getting back to playing good 5v5 hockey. The playoffs will happen if they can do that. They have been far too reliant on PP and can’t let games come down to if they get calls or not.
  14. I thought I remember a discussion on the old board that some of the stuff about Cobb from the book couldn’t be substantiated. He maybe wasn’t as horrible of a guy that he was made out to be. Still not a great person but more of a 5 out 10 instead of the 7 or 8 that his rep is now.
  15. Keir Starmer - Leader of the Free World
  16. If he went back and dropped at the start, he’d be laying 4. A wedge and a putt for bogey should be expected. Even a two putt for double is still better than the triple.
  17. Tough lesson for the Knapper. Take your medicine and move on. He’s still got great future. One of the minority on tour that grew up playing on muni courses. .
  18. This is the right way of thinking but I don’t think that’s happening. Companies aren’t sure if he’ll cancel the tariffs at the last minute like he did last time.
  19. I believe that now all 1st round playoff games are staggered among the cable networks.
  20. Same way they always do. Try to portray the press as fake news, keep pounding on how much taxpayer money is spent on both NATO and UN. Maybe even make up some bogus scandal about NATO covering human trafficking or the UN failing to stop Fentanyl from crossing the globe.
  21. We all knew this was coming.
  22. Another GM would probably trade one of his valuable goalie prospects but Stevie has been so deliberate with his moves that I don’t see him rushing it. I’d be surprised if he traded either one this year and maybe even next year too. Goalies are so hard and he definitely doesn’t want to trade the wrong one.
  23. In Rose’s day, you could only bet on who won and how many runs. You also needed a bookie to take the bet. Now you are able to bet on just about anything in game or with a specific player. You can literally live bet if someone is going to get a hit while they are at the plate. It’s gotten nuts. This gives so many options for a few bad actors to try to fix a bet. They don’t even have to influence the outcome of a game anymore. It could be one at bat, or pitcher strikeout, or a first inning run. It leaves almost everyone as a possible fixer. It could be a fringe player, base coach, bullpen catcher, or umpire using either advanced knowledge or even doing something minor during the game to rig a bet. This is a dangerous territory for MLB and the only way to protect themselves is to keep these very strict and harsh punishments for gambling.
  24. He did it! He also starts the day just 4 off the lead.
