Ron Desantis needs to do a better job running his state I guess....

That sketch must have been brutal to perform, having to look at both the cards and remembering the motions. Speaking of Jost, on that same episode Che played a trick on him during update where he told the audience not to laugh. I think this season is starting to find it's groove. It takes a newish cast a while. I like that they seem to be going back to ensemble. The last few years you'd forget someone was even in the cast. too many people. I record them every week and we watch on Sunday or Monday. -
When I heard about that I did consider the impact on talk radio. The only time I've used it is to find a game. In fact I was 31 months into a lease before looking for the first time earlier this spring when the Tigers were on. We don't even have an active radio in the house. I have an old "boom box" in the garage sitting on a shelf. I am not sure my 22 year old son has ever even used a radio outside of the car.

We watched that the next day. As people who use ASL, it was tough to watch because we kept thinking of ways to sign what they were trying to convey. But it was fantastic. I love when the daughter was 'using two hands' to express the word 'suck'. -
Can’t fire him so why should he care? Seriously. What is the prospect for any ramifications? zero.

I miss COVID Easter a few years ago. It’s half a joke obviously as a lot of people were hurting. But it was nice to not have to worry about going anywhere or do anything.

What they will do is some legislative trick where you can’t vote unless you live X amount of months in a certain area but exclude “public housing” which will mean living on a campus counts as “public housing”. That could mean certain college students won’t have a valid voting location. Then Gorsuch and Barrett will be like “well that’s what the founders intended… our hands are tied”

Yep. And the religious women are like “well the Bible says the man is the head of the household so….”

Did Cheryl Hines divorce him. It’s hard to watch Curb now.

Conservative Republicans are not represented anymore.

I don’t see how that holds up in courts. You don’t belong to a state. That’s not how you are identified.

I deleted a post that posted a picture of the judge's daughter. We don't do that shit here.

I used to like RCP back in the mid 2000's... they didn't come across to me as right wing.

I wonder how much of that is due to budgetary cuts in big media. Or could just be laziness. It's the old Pauline Kael joke about Nixon, "Nobody I know voted for him". The media is not journalism. The media wants ratings and clicks and eyeballs. Republicans apparently sell.

As the CF he has the luxury of going balls out as the LF is there to field a rebound. 😀and an opportunity to have the play in front of him as opposed to over him. -
Cop lets the door close on him... love it.

Mayor Adams should tweet her a middle finger and say "There's your apology you seditious skank"

I saw that right before his new "board" took over the governing of the site that the old board stripped themselves of a lot of power. All done in public meetings with proper notices. I am not sure about your question on Disney itself being an attraction but I can buy into the idea that it could phase out as Generation X and Y's kids begin to get older. I know a lot of people my age (almost 50) who go without their kids. Definitely still a nostalgia draw but it's very possible the lure of the magic kingdom is not being passed on to kids today, both young ones and those becoming adults. I get the sense that people are just taking their little ones to resorts in Cancun and the Carribean, often with other families. It's cheaper!!!!

I played OF in HS and always thought this and Kaline confirmed it. Balls hit right at you are the hardest to play because you don't instinctively know whether to go left or right. Plus you throw in that park with the high wall you probably hesitate in order to play it off the wall. You have to factor in that it will be too high to even bother trying to catch so your move is to play it the best way off the wall, then you realize it's "catchable" and are scrambling. The ball was also hit pretty hard, not much of an arc. With a normal height wall there's little chance of a rebound so you can go all out because it's either a HR or a catch. But with a trailing ball away from the LF you don't have the backup role by the CF as you would going the other way. If the ball was hit to his left instead of right he could have gone back straight away because Greene is there to field it if needed. All of those decisions in a second and half of action. I can't fault him for that. -
Last week I was on youtube watching a documentary and the quality was shit. I noticed it was from a Smithsonian Channel program so I researched how to get that, discovered it was part of Paramount Plus. I signed up just so I could watch that documentary properly, it was part of a series. Holy hell there's a lot of good stuff on that service. I immediately filled up my list. I always thought HBO Max was the top streamer but I put this over that. And it's like 1/3 the price if you go with ads, which I don't mind.

There is definitely truth to this kind of thinking. Not sure about this particular case but overall the Lebanese, who have been here for a few generations, look down on Yemeni and Iraqi people here.

If he decided to go to Russia and hide forever, the logistics with the secret service would foul that up I assume. They need to to scout the area before hand. They'd probably tell him he can't go not just for the "fleeing" aspect but b/c of the war going on. I don't know the precedent for a former President butting heads with the Secret Service on travel wishes. If he stayed there then I assume the protective detail would be called home and he's on his own.
