you said "near 50". 41 is not near 50.

By throwing out the Christ or Christian card it absolves them of any responsibility for their opinions and actions. They just fall back on "well it's in the Bible so...." If there's a bible verse in their twitter profile then chances are very good they are a nutjob.

and being wrong about that hurt people how?

There was an article in the Atlantic about a 6 year old boy that died from an accident. Anti Vaxxers found out he "had the jab" and made this family's life a living hell that would would have made the Alex Jones Sandy Hook deniers proud. These nutjobs are a danger to society. They've threatened my wife at work. Yes I take it personally. They can all go fuck themselves.

Since the season starts today I figure we can get this one going as a continuation of the off season thread. Use this for general talk about the Tigers outside of the game threads.

It wasn’t a shock because they didn’t know any better. It was because it was the first time it was ever acknowledged by anyone in the business. Answers were always playfully evasive. This was the steroid trial.

And I hope there’s audio and video. The other networks should play that ad nauseam.

The bolded parts is really all that need is required. I'm convinced they are just simply bad people who are miserable and want everyone else to be miserable and the way it turned political in 2020 because of Trump's followers being synced up with Evangelicals is disheartening because it's spread to no covid vaccines too. People are going to be hurt and die unnecessarily because they want to own the libs and sadly many children will pay that price because their parents believe in politics over science. Some people shouldn't be allowed to raise children.

I think Dominion's goal is just to get the big name hosts under oath. Get them to admit certain things under threat of perjury. On record. But the effect will be the same as when Vince McMahon admitted under oath that wrestling was scripted. That was the 90's. Then it took off and became huge. The fans won't care.

My mother in law always points to "their pay" when talking about politicians and spending and what should be done to fix the budgets. Their pay is a rounding error. in scope. I even hear it at city council meetings where in our city they get like $10K, plus $100 a meeting. Nobody's on city council for the money.

I jus saw an article that the Dodgers are giving a former player a $0 contract just so he keeps his health insurance. Bipolar and Schiziphrenia. Last played in 2018 and in 2020 was found living on the street.

Bobcat Bonnie's turning a bad yelp review into a T Shirt. Yay for Bobcat Bonnies. Person was probably a patron of their downriver location. Just a guess.

We do. we need to make it harder to get guns. I'm sorry it means that a "good" gun owner who is responsible and won't hurt anyone and will protect us if needed has to do more paperwork and perhaps wait a few more days. If I had to wait a few more days to participate in one of my hobbies but it meant it could prevent someone else from killing others, I would do it. Too many gun control opponents think the standard is "Unless we can prevent everything then we shouldn't try to prevent anything".

That's like a car speeding out of control regardless of what the driver was doing and running into a crowd of people then finally the driver can stop it with the brakes and saying "See... the brakes worked"

I watched security and body cam footage and the shooter blasted thru the glass on the doors. Never even opened them just crawled thru

He's so stealthy I forgot all about him

Phonetically I say it’s “clean” and not breaking thread rules. Replies are great.

yeah. There's near term solutions and long term solutions.

Nate Silver mentioned months ago about these polls and the binary aspect being misleading. Someone might say they are not a fan of Biden as a preferred choice, and answer the poll/quesiton that way, but they damn well will vote for him if on the ballot regardless of who's on the other side.

I see things like this as free lottery tickets. Sure they probably will not be anything but every so often you get a $10 win and maybe someone like this can be useful for 30 games this year before finding his natural level again. The problem this org had over the years is riding out these guys for too long instead of recognizging when the well went dry.

it's like a parody of the worst twitter accounts that are also quite boring. It's like 2015 social media when the old people finally figured out how to use "the facebook"

If it were a right winger he'd be given a weekend night slot on Fox News or Newmax or start writing for Brietbart. Then he'd get elected to congress in a red state.

All the students and teachers should carry automatic weapons, wear bullet proof vests, firefighter uniforms, and lug around oxygen tanks and masks in case they either have an armed assailant or a fire breaks out. That's the part we all can play to protect the 2A. It's our God given right and and our solemn duty to protect the precious things He gave to us.

I have a friend who's a retired chief and he's done some consulting, unofficially, for this kind of thing. One guy selling a system reached out to him for advice. One thing that many don't consider is proposed solutions by a man on the street won't meet fire code. Trying to keep people out also means often keeping people in.
