Because so many of them are simply hate filled. Not all obviously but those who are not get pushed aside by the national party leaders.

I think whoever proposed that should be executed

based on social media postings I am not sure. They think he's a globalist and establishment. Sure most of them will go. But Trump's support was razor thin anyway so peeling off just a handful is all it takes to doom the GOP. It'll be Romney in 2012 and McCain in 2008. They didn't attract enough. The difference for Trump is he brought them on board.

wow, until you said that I forgot all about Andrew Brietbart. I wonder where he would have fit in with all of this. Would he have gone the Jonah Goldberg, Jay Nordlinger route? Or full MAGA?

I'm embarassed to say I never saw it until early last year. My kids were younger back then so pop culture from around 2006-2015 wasn't a thing for me. I love the Cohens. Just never got around to it. I loved it.

I have The Fugitive on in the background. Is it time to have a discussion on.... this being a bad movie? I love it. I will watch it anytime it's on. It's gripping to this day, same with Apollo 13. But.... I have a hard time getting over the fact he was convicted. Even when interrogating him. The Chicago cop says... "book him!". It's like a caricature. And jumping off the empty dam and surviving. Not being discovered in Chicago until he's on the train. I know it's a big city but.... I'm not sure without Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones this movie survives. And since this is the second TLJ movie this page.... who wants to talk about Old Country For Old Men?

He's short, got a funny head of hair.... and an annoying voice. you nailed it.

I hate musicals too.... I'm the dad in Holy Grail who yells out "stop that... stop that. We won't have any singing while I'm around". Except the Blues Brothers. Can watch that all day.

So... no adoption? What about all those Baptists that adopt babies from Africa and China and Korea? I know quite a few from my school who did that. They don't count? Or is it spelled out that only gay adoptions don't matter? I don't want to know the answer to that.

When we visited we got the 3 day pass. We could have probably done without it but the ride from and to Midway to our hotel was about 2/3 of what we paid so it was nice to have it as an option. We used it on Saturday afternoon to ride up to Wrigley and walk around there just so I could see it. We didn't need it for any of our other activities as things were close enough to walk. I just like having it as an option in case we decide on a last minute excursion. once I pay for something then after that it's "free" as I see it. I told Buddha about our time near the Harold Washington Library and he shared that a week prior some dude got stabbed in the park there. Good times. But stuff like that doesn't bother me. Can happen in Detroit too.

I never liked it. I think it’s because as a kid when sick I was given it to drink because that’s what you do in Detroit and I threw up and it tasted like vernors so I equate it with puking. I smell it and it takes me back.

What I mean is the issues that traditionally define you as a partisan don’t really come up much locally. His views on abortion or immigration policy or the death penalty…. I guess it could matter in that fox would referring to crimes in Chicago going forward.

And a violation of election law.

Does party matter in local elections?

this one cracks me up. They all know how they are going to rule. The arguments are pointless. This is the kind of case where i think if it were being done by an R admin the justices would just swap sides in their rulings. Although I did get put off by hearing some of Gorsuch's remarks about "fairness". Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think that's their job to sort out. Their job is to determine whether the executive branch has the authority to do this. Not whether it's right or wrong or good or bad or fair or unfair.

I think Wray is Nate Silver.

What does “most likely a potential” mean?’

I’m here for it. but I guess the mall is private property? But I’m not sure that’s something that would fly in court.

It was always my favorite, at least their Sunday show and certain ones on the news channel. The network of Tony Snow and Krauthammer. Those were my guys.

We went to Wildberry last year for breakfast on Saturday morning on the suggestion of many.... it was very good. I wasn't hungry all day. It had been years since I had such a large breakfast. I got pancakes, eggs, biscuits/gravy..... the works.

MLB Network's "Top 100"; and where they are.
oblong replied to Useful Idiot's topic in Detroit Tigers
Going after the best year after year meant obtaining slow one dimensional players that prevented the team from keeping their younger talent. Who should they have acquired last off season? Prior to last year they got Baez.... how'd that turn out? -

I wouldn't want VMart or Prince on the team this year and Miggy will probably be a liability on the field so I'm not sure that makes the team better. -
When we were there last year for a show I remember it being a bit pricier but I'm on 'vacation' so I didn't care or even pay attention. I got tickets for the same band this year but they moved their residency to late march and early April. Then my wife says 'Maybe we shouldn't go, we're already going to Aruba', there's issues with taking care of our special needs son so she thought that was too much to ask. So I sold them. Then a few days later she's like "so that show... maybe....." Arrrgh! I really did like Chicago. Close enough to not be a big deal. Very nice city. Easy to get around.

Cable and Satellite companies could give subscribers the option to remove those networks in exchange for a $6 reduction in monthly fees. Why wouldn't they want to do that? They can "cut costs to the consumer". Fox would bitch but I don't see their argument making any kind of legal standing. If viewers want it they can pay. I'm surprised there hasn't been more a la carte options like that. If they pay a network $5 a month for example, but offer the consumer a $4 reduction to have that removed then the company is still making $1 month to cover overhead and "profit". If they just hack off most of the pass through cost then what's it hurt them?
