You cannot let marisnick hit there. That is negligence by Hinch.

Agree to a point, but who the hell else is he gonna hit there?!  His only options are either unmitigated ass or more unmitigated ass.

Miggy threatens.

Cabrera doing OK recently. He's upped his OBP 70 points since the beginning of May and it's been ~ 370 over his last 30 or so PA. The question is: even if you wanted to, how much more could you play him without it just going south again?

still, one run after 5, the pitching staff is giving you more than can reasonably expect.

No doubt, definitely living on the razors edge tonight!

Did Dombrowski give him his retirement gift yet? I expect it to be more meaningful than a ****ing brick given their extensive history.

Probably not many because hopefully they will get Carpenter and Vierling healthy soon.

I don't get much happy vibe from Vierlings bat. Be nice to get Carpenter's back though - he may find the seats once in a while.

Jeebus, Cisnero throwing meatballs, but somehow survived....he's bad.

2nd guy in on what is basically a BP day. Good sign that his use is being downgraded to lower leverage.

Don't get me wrong I really liked Polanco and he was a good player for us but I don't know if there has been a more overrated local athlete in the past 20 or so years than him. When we let him go you would've thought we got rid of Joe Morgan or something with the way people reacted.

I agree.  He was one of those players that I liked from the beginning, but I found myself criticizing him a lot because he became so overrated.

Unforunately, my lasting image of him is his missed DP ball in extra innings in game 163.  It wasn't an egregious error, but it was a play he makes 9 of 10 times.  I was sure he was going to get the ball and my only question was whether he could turn two to win the game.
