chasfh Posted April 6, 2024 Posted April 6, 2024 (edited) It occurs to me that the first nine games of our season are all against the second-banana teams (White Sox, Mets, A’s) in three of the four two-team markets (CHI, NYC, SFO). That feels unusual to me, as in, that has not happened to any other team since interleague play started. Edited April 6, 2024 by chasfh 1 Quote
1776 Posted April 6, 2024 Posted April 6, 2024 The Great Al Kaline passed away on this date four years ago. Doesn’t seem like four years gone. 1 Quote

And then the next series is against the second banana of Pennsylvania, for whatever that’s worth. Quote

Yea, but the drive from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh takes as long as the drive from Detroit to Chicago. Quote

Depends upon your perspective. Lots of hilly terrain in Pennsylvania. Detroit to Chicago has a trip through Gary, Indiana. Seems not equal. 1 Quote

Still would rather deal with te Turnpike than sit in traffic on 80/94 Quote
TheWordIsBird Posted April 6, 2024 Posted April 6, 2024 No C-Mo in the booth today, thank goodness. I will greatly enjoy not having to hear him intensely inhale 172x today before speaking/growling about something. 🙂 2 1 Quote

Tigerbomb13 Posted April 6, 2024 Posted April 6, 2024 Maeda getting torched again. Hanging meatball to Rooker for a two run bomb. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted April 6, 2024 Posted April 6, 2024 Wow. Mr. Batting Practice. Hey buddy, you got a guy who was working on a no-no Thursday who wants a spot on this team. Might want to hunker down and stop giving up NO-DOUBTER home runs. This is brutal. 1 Quote
chasfh Posted April 6, 2024 Posted April 6, 2024 Maeda’s thing is that he can get swing and miss better than most, but when they are on him, he gets clobbered. He came into town with that rep and he is doing nothing to dissmell that miscontusion. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted April 6, 2024 Posted April 6, 2024 Any other park that's a HR for Carp Quote
AZTigersfan Posted April 6, 2024 Posted April 6, 2024 Nice! The old strike em out, throw em out to end the second. Quote

chasfh Posted April 6, 2024 Posted April 6, 2024 You can tell Gibby likes working with Benetti, and Benetti appreciates Gibby’s reactions to his bon mots better than Craig Monroe's reactions. The Tigers are in kind of a tough position with Craig Monroe. They don’t feel it yet, probably, but they definitely will long before the end of the season comes, and they are gonna have to make a decision, even if it’s doing nothing. Quote

AZTigersfan Posted April 6, 2024 Posted April 6, 2024 Yup could’ve put that run on the board as soon as Wentz stepped on the field. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted April 6, 2024 Posted April 6, 2024 I don't think Joey Wentz is goin to be here very long. He's horrible. Breathing and Left-Handed shouldn't equal a spot in the big leagues. He ain't foolin' anyone. 1 Quote
