oblong Posted May 19 Posted May 19 This will be another tough series. I'd be content to win one. Quote
IdahoBert Posted May 19 Posted May 19 When I tried to open this post, I was immediately sent to a pop-up ad for lawyers in West Texas. What kind of hell does my phone in league with Internet advertising think I inhabit? Quote

Three games against a tough team that’s been on a roll where they are thoroughly dominant at home. I’m going to check my tendency to fret and whine at the door when I enter these game threads for the next three games. I also carry virulent resentments concerning 2006 and that whiny ass bastard Tim McCarver. I am not a placid, objective observer of games with this team. 1 Quote

IdahoBert Posted May 19 Posted May 19 From my Facebook feed today. I am shocked that the weekend celebration of our Armed Forces could be so easily reduced to a transparent cash grab to sell more caps. I hope that FanDuel provides some betting odds today on how profitable this will be this week. 1 Quote

Capitalize on their sacrifices-the American way. Two years ago the Durham Bulls, like every other opportunistic entity, were sending me emails (ticket holders) about their Armed Forces Hat grift offer. They were pushing these hats front and center on their website. I emailed the team’s GM and inquired as to what percent of the hat sale proceeds would go toward veteran’s causes. *crickets* It’s all 🐂 💩! 4 Quote

Sports_Freak Posted May 19 Posted May 19 It looks like the rain will start about 9:30 PM. tonight. Too bad they can't move up the start time. And apparently, the next 2 games will be dry. Tomorrow, Skubal goes, so that's the important day...😅😅 Quote

Oh, that is so sweet. It warms the cockles of my cinder of a heart. Now I understand better the malevolence. 1 Quote

IdahoBert Posted May 19 Posted May 19 They are kind of fusing the two different teams pregame shows together from what I can tell. Interesting. They are both a part of the FanDuel “legitimate businessmen“ family. Given how good the Cardinals have been playing lately and that we’ll have two “pitching chaos“ games this series, I’m starting to fear for our welfare. Quote

We already had ours against Texas. 1 Quote
