Week Thirteen: Green Bay Packers (7-3-1) @ Detroit Lions (7-4)

I wish this had broken in the 10-2 hour so actual Lions fans could have discussed it on 97.1, instead of Valenti doing his normal “so what” schtick.

Watching the Lions lose continually on Thanksgiving Day in the ‘60s as a child cured me of caring about NFL football at all.

I was a patriot and felt I could only root for Detroit area teams because of the Tigers even though I lived in Northeast Indiana and not in Detroit. Nobody told me this was a rule. I just made it up in my head.

Now that I live in bum <blank> Idaho and I’m surrounded by hayseeds I usually can’t watch a Lions game that’s on FOX because they only let me watch West Coast games, but I’m assuming that because this is a Thanksgiving game it won’t be preempted for something like a tractor pull or a replay of a demolition derby from a week ago.

Don’t disappoint me Lions.

The NFL package is down to $48 for the rest of the season. Or to put it another way, the best part of the season..lol

Goff needs that TE in the flat or over the middle vs the LBs to open things up.

It's too bad that he didn't come back sooner because I bet the Lions win the Vikings and Eagles games with him. Those games in particular the interior offensive line got exposed. This is like a Christmas gift at Thanksgiving. LFG!!!

I don't think he's eligible to play until Dallas and the reports are that it likely won't be until the Rams game.

I just hope it isn't too late when he returns. A loss today and the Lions have a pretty big uphill climb just to make the playoffs.

My hopes are that the Lions can muck their way through a low scoring game, but my expectations are pretty low today. A win would be huge.
