God bless you, my brother! I was worried I would have to do this, which I didn’t particularly want to do. But if you need to take a vacation sometime and it’s hard for you to work this in, message me, and I’ll do whatever I can to pick up the slack.

The game thread has been one of those constants in the various iterations of our family, and I’m glad that you’re holding up your end of this tradition.

I am absurdly excited about this first game. I sure don’t want to get swept like in the first series of last year.

I want it to be like getting a Red Ryder Carbine-Action BB gun for Christmas and not shooting my eye. So for me splitting this series 1 – 1 would be the equivalent of not shooting my eye out.

PER A SEARCH ON THE INTERNET- 

On Thursday, March 26, 2026, Jason is scheduled to call the prime-time matchup between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Los Angeles Dodgers at 8:00 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock. Because of this national assignment, Dan Dickerson is expected to handle the play-by-play for the Tigers' season opener against the San Diego Padres earlier that afternoon.

Wait til game 2....a 9:40 PM time start here in the east. We'll be up late...but happy for the pitch clock that makes for shorter games.

Sharing this moment in Tucson, Arizona with my friends from East Detroit - as it was called back then - and Ann Arbor, was one of the happiest moments of my life. We’d all grown up as avid Tigers fans and fate brought us together 2000 miles from Tiger Stadium.

They haven't won a single game since that crushing loss to Seattle. It's been more than five months. I don't know how Harris and Hinch still have jobs.
