Yilber may have gotten through that inning without giving up any runs, but I wouldn’t trust him with any leverage situations anytime soon.

still and all, the Cy Young exile loses his first game with the super team and the Tigers' shut out is closed out by the waiver wire pick-up. One night out of 162 but ...baseball.

The last time the Tigers started a West Coast road trip with four straight wins was August 13–16, 1979

That would be Sparky's inaugural season the the Tigers. Sorry to Less Moss

Melton faltering a little bit. Someone needs to go out there give him a big hug and tell him everything‘s gonna be OK. I would do that, but I’m blacked out.

It only took him 30 pitches, but he got us out of the inning and saved one of the many stellar arms in the bullpen for tomorrow.

AND Diaz got his ERA down to under 40.

Wow.     I was guiding the 1979 Strat-O-Matic Tigers to 3rd place in the AL East.

So your managerial prowess moved them up 2 spots!

I had to check BR for that - crazy part compared to today's baseball?  They were 85-76 and finished 5th, 18 games out.
